I quit cricket forum after SRT - RD retirement. I hardly posted 2-3 times since then.

I miss test cricket. We did have some good cricket but I want more Pujara type players to bring back test cricket. with T20 cricket, everything is over in 3 hours. What is there to talk about? NO strategy, no plan/execution. T20 is just mindless hitting. It wont generate much discussion.

Test cricket and World Cups are very good for forum traffic.

2017 Aus series

2018 Sa series

and 2 Aus series wins rekindled my interest in cricket. 2019-20 Aus series is the best test series after Ashes 2005.

I did say that we have had some good cricket but dont forget Test cricket hasnt been that competitive anymore. England improved by a notch and Aussies dropped couple of notches in terms of their quality. I mean the current Aus is the weakest team I have ever seen in 40 years. SA & Pak are also hopelessly weak teams these days and so is SL. WI is completely gone. NZ has maintained well.  India has active 50+ players so they can afford to maintain Test and T20 teams. Other teams are struggling because they only have few upcoming youngsters. So either they will choose Test style of cricket or T20. Clearly standards of test cricket have been deteriorating for a decade now.

But this is not the thread for that. I like our team but it is not the same. I miss RD.

Sorry but Australia is still quite strong.  Yes the batting department is not what it used to be but it still is capable enough.  They did drew Ashes in England after all.

England hasn't lost at home since 2014..  Their system is strong as ever.

NZ is probably in its golden era.  They were f** poor in 90's 2000's..  Now they beat top teams except Australia.

India is doing great as well..  Our real test is in England though.

South Africa & Sri lanka have been poor though..  For different reasons.

Pakistan is fun to watch..  Whether they win or lose.  Comic relief:phehe:  They are same like last decade.

Cricket is still interesting..  Especially Test cricket.

probably even supported Modi at some point. But not a lot of resistance. Moment I opposed, I could spot the cultism

Precisely my experience, when you support the positives it's all good, moment you question the negatives the Cult strikes back lol it betrays their true level.

You watch regular cricket?

I thought me, you and @velu were the only people here who were oblivious to the happenings in the wider world of cricket, and didn't watch non IPL cricket. We even barely post in Cricket Talk.

Have seen enough of internet forums now. They don’t die that easily and this won’t die either. People come and go on forums like ICF when not much is happening but with interesting series, some return and like that activity on ICF will be back too as always. There is just too much cricket coming in the next few months, so nothing to worry about.

Use hyphenated form  eg "andh-bhakt" or gobar-bhakt or zombie-bhkt

Usually word "bhakt" is enough to trigger them :yess:

Imagine the level of intellect of Indian opposition when they think calling Bhakt will trigger them spacer.png

This so reminds me of the rock when he dissed John Cena - "You can chee me...I can chee you...can you chee me. What you playing peekabu?" :cantstop

Grow up man.

Then again, jiska neta Rahul Gandhi ho...uska soch aur kaisa hoga spacer.png

Big time Test Cricket watcher. Mostly India and Ashes series was.Was not a prolific poster in Cricket Talk, but did post in Match threads. I have ridiculed maniac obsession with Rohit, SDP devotees. Only started watching IPL since 2020.
