If archery, shooting are staple in Olympics, why not chess? Don't tell me chess isn't physical but some of these others are, heck they have curling in the winter games, nothing remotely as absurd.

 

IOC recognizes chess as a sport, so do all sporting federations worldwide, at least the major ones to my knowledge. India must push for its inclusion, will take 10-15 years time and by then the Pragg-Nihal-Gukesh gen will be dominating like crazy, chance to get a few medals. They had chess in Asian Games, why not in Olympics? Large fanbase, millions play it and are aware of rules....online chess and engines have made it so much more accessible and fun to follow/learn. Will be a bigger hit than archery/shooting and we can follow all boards even if 200 players are playing simultaneously (only finals being covered in shooting).

 

If not chess at least include chessboxing, it is already a hit in Kolkata. Brutal sport, alternating rounds of chess and boxing, blows all other sports out of the water. Like this variant @Mariyam?

For that we need 2 bronze medals. Otherwise SF choke and then bronze medal match choke. Winning nothing under Loli, hopefully by the time cricket arrives in Olympics Loli is no longer around our system.

They outperformed in Rowing getting couple of golds there but GB have some of their stronger events yet to come. Will be a close one between the two

We dont compete sir. Only curry munching. We not capable of competing because we don't have sports culture. Only kulcha culture. 

 

Australia is best. No one compete with scum Aussie. Too much difficult task. They have Australian institute of sport dedicated Only for producing athletes. 

 

India only fosters competition in cricket only. 

 

India very backwards. Very behind. Rote learning culture only.

 

India can only compete if they creat indian institute of sports like the convicts from under down. 

 

Maybe 15 years.
