The over-reliance on spinners (including preparing wkts to help them pick wkts) means that Indian cricket takes one step forward and two backwards.

Chahar was not even in scheme of odis due to

his fitness issues. 5 dY test will

be too much. Let him Concentrate on t20s for the wc. Bhuvi shd have been picked but maybe TM wants him desperately for the t20 wc and not risking injury by playing him in tests..

Jayant : England struggle against quality off spin.. ashwin muralitharan lyon have all made england look fools. In India the best off spinner is Ashwin and then zilch. Only offspinner we have who is regular in FC matches is Jayant Yadav and so he has been sent ( mind you Sundar hasnt even played FC in a while still he was there). 

 

Shaw : Like for like replacement for Gill

 

SKY : Here it becomes interesting. The middle order is made of 5 players Pujara Kohli Rahane Rahul Hanuma. Out of this Rahul was once upon a time opener so basically 4 proper middle order batsman. So now you cast your net and go to FC and who do you find: just nobody who is breaking the door.. so we check 2019 Ranji statistics and here you get the following top 4 scorers..

 

1. Sarfraz Khan

2. Punit Bisht ( kohlis close friend u19 wc winner playing in plate)

3. Anushtup Majumdar ( old now was a good bengal batsman)

4. Arpit Vasvada

All plate stuff. So the only one coming out who is there in both years is S Khan but issue is he is person non grata with his fitness. 
 

So what options do TM have? The safest option. Go by guts and by performance in LOI format and this is where Sky comes in as he looked good in all matched he played. Plus he became the MOS in the odis and looked assured. Thus he got the call..

Imo if you don't have tes level fitness, Ayers shouldn't be allowed allowed play t20. That's how india should operate.

his bowling didnt trouble them when they came to india.4The name ur taking are big big big name. 

U think i have faith in sundars bowling ?? No

yea where is shankar n panchal whom we have been taking on A tours for last few yrs 

I dnt even remember them playing on A tour red ball games.

Believe it or not, shankar, dube are guys that should be sent to England. Yes even dube. Dube actually has a good first class record. He appears scrub ish in short format but he can play red ball pretty well. Shankar should be picked. People have this misconception about shankars ability based on his short format exploits SMH. People need to watch ranji or atleast pay attention to performances based on stats in ranji.
