Drop pujara for 3rd test

Okay dud got some runs but it's over for him skillwise

Also I think team management is in awe of sky and he will play next match

 

He looks to be a complete batsman at peak of his prowess

 

What you think will it happen

If Pujara and Rahane can take confidence from yesterday nothing like they

Nope. Shardul for Ishant might be the only replacement

Thing is Pujara fails 10 innings and then gets a 40... and then Gavaskars and Sanju Manjus of the world are like - see we told you he'll bounce back..

There is nothing to suggest that his replacement will fail 10 innings.. 

 

For the level of inconsistency Pujara has shown, he doesn't deserve a straight-forward selection without any questions asked... I'd give Mayank a go for 1-2 tests and see how he does at No.3.. can always bring back Pujara for the 5th test if required.

After this victory and their valuable contribution in the 2nd innings, it's unlikely that the two pillars of Middle Order , Pujara and Rahane, would be made to sit out for any inexperienced batsmen.

 

At the very least, they will get the chance to play full Series and their future would depend on the final score of the series.

Maybe Ashwin for Jadeja as well. If the next pitch spins, which it usually does, then two pinners or a better spinner is what I'll go with. Jadeja is either not being used as a wicket taker or he's lost some confidence bowling himself!

Ashwin + 4 seamers makes the batting very weak, especially with our middle order. Ashwin + 3 seamers + Jadeja possible depending on pitch report.

Actually Oz as well, only in 2018/19 did Pujara beat him comfortably on batting down under.

I have been screaming to drop Pujara since last 1 year ..even if he scores , he is too slow even keeping test standards. he plans to just defend the ball and tire the bowler and in most cases, while he defends he gets Out. See if a batsman just defends , a time will come when he will end up snicking the ball to slips sprecifically now when even third umpire gives OUT..

 

let me cut the crap....pujara should not play for india and no player with such a defensive attitude should play for India.

Even Rahane has underperformed big time and can be dropped too but because he scored a 61 in this test, he can be allowed to play the next test. though i am convinced RAHANE's test career is also over.

Huh so many people are complaining pujara is slow. By batting slow they tried bowlers and took England win out of equation.

Mayank is ready to replace Pujara in the 11 and SKY OR Prithvi or Hanuma who ever looks the best should replace RAHANE..

i agree ishant got 5 wickets in this TEST....it will be difficult to drop him.

Siraj was the best bowler by a Margin...he wont be dropped.

 

Shammi and Boom also bowled well so Shardul may Sit Out...

This is what currently Pujara can do.  Yesterday  was the best batting time condition wise . yet he can only scratch around for some runs .
