Why has India performed better without Hardik in the last 5-6 years?

Apart from Hardik being absent there isn’t even a close enough pattern

all 3 different formats: Asia cup- odi, Nidihaas- t20 and aus and eng test series

different captains- Rohit, Rahane and Kohli

different conditions- Aus and Sc conditions.

Legitimate point. India loaded with one-dimensional players were desperately seeking for an all rounder. Pandya emerged. Once he got injured and left and India was left with replacing him with another all rounder. Vijay Shankar emerged. This pattern has been continuing. He plays for a couple of matches and leaves then they against look for another all rounders. It makes our unit completely unsettled. Jadeja is another guy who is enjoying his place just because he can bat. Otherwise he is not the no.1 spinner in any format. Other teams don't make that compromise.  THey bring their best spinners. These fake all rounders are making our side very unreliable.

Conversely, why has Ind not won world cups despite Rohit-Kohli, the mainstay of Ind batting and in their prime :dontknow:

2012 T20WC

2014 T20WC

2015 WC

2016 T20WC

2019 WC

2021 WTC

2021 T20WC (on going, so question mark)

Not many players get a shot at so many world title that too in a single decade ...

Liking this thread.

So VC Rahane > Pandya

Even Ishant Sharma helped to win a Champions trophy in Eng while Pandya has accumulated more sick notes than any other player

Money, chicks,  expensive cars and apartment,.  That is the only place we saw Aura lol Seriously who would not want to be Pandya. His career was meaningful for an year or 2? at the most.  Selectors are the culprits.

Once they retire, not many will remember them as much as some of the guys from previous generation or even put them in their ATG 11s esp. since the continue to fail in high pressure games

Now if they score big against NAM & SCO, it will only enhance the contrast in their careers.

Hardik Pandya and his little minion Krunal Pandya have been one of the worst leeches for Indian Cricket....

The Pandya brother have literally made me miss Irfan and Yusuf pathan who weren't stellar themselves.

What boggles my mind even more is the continued obsession and persistence with Hardik despite the fact that the guy isn't bowling / isn't consistent with the bat / is injured and not fully fit - Even bigwigs like Sachin/ Ganguly/ Yuvraj were not given such a long leash and what were expected to perform than be a passenger in the team -  This makes me wonder where Indian cricket is going in the right direction?   Who is behind this blind backing for certain players ? Kohli or the TM ?  No team should be so dependent on one player to this extent of how dependent India has been on Pandya and wouldn't let go like some sort of psychotic obsession.

I don't mine putting players like Abdul Samad / Shardul Thakur/ V Iyer etc or whosoever is the next prospect but give the youngsters a chance  -  We are still searching for the next Yuvraj Singh/ Irfan Pathan -  Hardik isn't the answer -  Indian team needs to move on

Attacking SDP will not correct a failed legacy of these two

Guys like SDP, Pant, etc. are among the future mainstay players and will have many tournaments to conquer :om:

He hasn't won a single international trophy in his career, what a monumental loser.

Let me throw @zen a bone here. He was part of the Asia cup winning team in 2016 in the T20 format but my point still stands.
