'God of Cricket’: Tendulkar leaves fans amazed with exact prediction of Finch's dismissal by Shaheen during semis

Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, who is fondly called the ‘god of cricket’ by his fans, produced another masterclass to bedazzle his admirers. Ahead of the semi-final clash between Australia and Pakistan, which the former won by five wickets, the former India cricketer shared an video on Instagram, where he spoke about the individual match-ups that one can expect from the clash.

 

Tendulkar in the video mentioned that he would like to see a tussle between Aaron Finch and Shaheen Afridi, adding that if the Australia skipper tries to play the pacer across the line early in the innings, he will either be trapped LBW or bowled.

I think his best prediction/comment was "watch out for Mitchell Johnson" ahead of the Ashes series where he was in beast mode and destroyed England.

To be honest, my highest level of cricket was Kanga league in Mumbai. And I could predict that. I predicted that against India. I was amazed that the batters were amazed.

Finch gets in trouble with right arm bowlers bowling at his pads & a left armer bowling 145k bringing the ball in is a worst nightmare for him. 

Shaheen always was in the game vs Finch.  Sachin has some great insight about batting techniques..  He was a maestro in modifying his game.

There is no prediction when your team is full of match fixers who throw their wickets intentionally  or when selectors dont give a single player you want

I still dont understand how likes of azhar and jadeja are accepted today as cricket experts

Azhar had a lot of lobby behind him and still has support. When he was dropped because of poor performance and suspicious decisions, sachin was made captain. Selectors used to decide the team with zero input from sachin. Then selectors and seniors like azhar used to even decide batting lineup, over ruling sachin who used to be batting in the middle most time, so without telling him they woukd chsnge batting lineup.

 

Sachins first captaincy was only for a year and all overseas. During this time azhar had some so suspicious dismissalas, including running himself and others out, that there was an enquiry and there was a serious discussion among him, management and selectors about his dismissals

 

Then within a year sachin was removed citing poor performances (this include harsh overseas tours like west indies) and azhar reinstated 

 

The reason given by selectors was that azhar was now a married man (second marriage) so was now more mature (this despite sachin, dracid, ganguly all being married at that time)

 

It was open corruption with selectors and management involved

Lol sachin got his friend kambli selected when he was captain. Kambli wasn’t even in form. Stop giving free pass to sachin. If he had problems with changing lineup he is the captain could have dropped azhar.

Kambli was undeniably talented and had a long history of domestic performance. There is no way he wouldn't have been selected under any captian or selectors. 

 

So you believe the captian who didn't have the power to make a single selection decision or even decide batting order had the power to drop the most powerful player backed by poltical lobbies? Right

 

Do remember this was time before brands were directly involved in pushing the board and selectors and management was all powerful, there was no social media and players  particularly someone as young as sachin had no voice

Wonder why Rohit Sharma can't predict Shaheen Afridi, Mohammed Amirs and Trent Boults trying to trap him in front of the wicket everytime he comes out to bat, ohh the disadvantages of being a human.
