Helicopters in general are very unsafe vehicles. Not only Indian, even foreign one's as well. Like Kobe Bryant as well last year.

Maybe pilot wasn't able to find some decent space for a crash landing..  Or probably it happened spontaneously.  Terrible way to go either way.
