Shahbaz Ahmed potential replacement of Dudeja?

I am impressed with this guy's attitude.  Plays with so much confidence.

Picks up crucial wickets when he bowls.  Scores handy runs.  Is not as Hyped as Samad Parag or Abhishek but silently making impact (even in last IPl)

Hopefully RCB plays him ahead of Rutherford or Willey.

Dudeja has suc*d balls in IPl all these years.

A good prospect but let the selectors work it out :dontknow:

What difference does it make to anyone if some ppl here say he is a good replacement and some say he is not ... Tomorrow, there could be another thread on another player

Stop playing selectors and enjoy IPL for what it is :thumb:

Too early. Jadeja has performed well as a finisher in LOIs recently. Assuming everybody is fit, this should be our first XI for the World Cup:

Rohit

Kishan/KL

Iyer

SKY

Pant

Hardik

Jadeja

Harshal

Siraj

Chahal

Bumrah

Only one among Hardik & Jaddu should be there.  I would prefer a pure batsman over one of them.  Otherwise it maybe a repeat of last WT20.

Don’t forget we also have Hooda and Venky in our scheme of things

Hooda is barely a 1 over bowler.  Yes his batting has come a long way.  Not a world cup material yet though.  May work out in ODIs.

Shahbaz is a 4 over bowler on most days.  His hitting looks better than someone like Sundar.  Remember it was a slowish Wankhede pitch last night.  He was still striking it well against a decent bowling outfit.

Batting may be. But bowling? Axar is probably a better bowler. But inferior with bat.  Part time spinning all rounder can be selected only if they are as good as like Maxwell/Livingstone.

He isn't a part-time spinner. He can easily be picked at 7.

You absolutely don't need 2 spinners in Australia, new zeland or south africa. Absolutely not. One Lone spinner who can bat.

Bowling by most accounts is his stronger suite. Proper 5 day game bowler.

On topic, he is a terrific cricketer though. Would like to see how he progresses with more responsibility of winning matches for his side

Very surprised people are calling him part time spinner.  Whenever I have seen him bowl he more often than not picks wickets.  Stays economical.

Meanwhile Dudeja sucks in all facets of the game barring once in a blue moon performance after a decade of Investment.
