Understandable why you don't want to dig into earlier matches, his scores were 76(48), 34(21) and 54(35) and they were vs South Africa .

He failed vs Ireland and played only one game vs England and Windies.

Did really well vs South Africa who have a better attack. Player of the series vs South Africa and a left handed option too. He is good enough at international level in 20-20 cricket.

Those matches were in India. So, he got  Home advantage along with flat pattas.  What more does a batsman need?  :hysterical:.  Those pitches were so flat that SA even chased down our total of 212 in one of the games for fun.     Whenever he plays outside India, he is like a rabbit caught in the headlights. Including against Minnows like Zim and Windies.     I think u hv also missed out his t20 inning vs Eng in Eng where he failed.   Then got dropped for remaining two games.

All Indian batters in tournament play like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

The truth of course is that Avesh has been found out unfortunately.

Avesh may have been found out but they had Chahar in reserves who could have been drafted in immediately once avesh fell ill.

Ok, also want to hv your feedback on his performance in the home series vs Windies (held in Feb 2022).         35(42), 2(10) , 34(31).

Rohit is living under delusion. Lets analyze our performance this Asia Cup

Game 1 (Pakistan) - everything went our way..won the toss, their bowler's cramped...still we almost lost that game. We know chasing is easy in Dubai, yet we just somehow crawled home chasing 141

Game 2 (Hong Kong) - we let them score 152 and our premier fast bowler went for 53 runs

Game 3 and Game 4 - Lost

There are only 2 good thing happened to India this Asia cup - India's bowling in 1st game and Surya's innings against HK.

We failed in every other department since then.

Good post.    Totally agree.   One small correction though.    We chased 148 in 1st game vs Pak  (Not 141)

Batting is uber easy in the 2nd innings. So going with an understrength bowling unit was a high risk move. You purely bank on winning the toss and fielding first. Once you lose the toss match is over right there.
