Let's not read too much into all this.   In the recent t20 and odi series in Eng, our selectors, despite being brainless, had sent an express pace attack.  The result is there for everyone to see.  We won both the series comfortably.   It's evident they did not take a low profile tournament like Asia Cup involving minnows like Poyz, Toygers etc held in UAE seriously.   I m sure we will see express pacers being inducted into the WT20.  Reports surfacing that Shami, Prasidh and Bumrah (if fit) will all be included in the squad.

Avesh Khan was once blue eyed of ICF clocking upto 150

He was actually quite good in one IPL season, even outbowling Rabada. Maybe he is short on stamina or overcoached, but he looks like a dud now with defeatist body language despite strong backing by the TM.

So India has fallen back behind SL and neck to neck with Bangladesh while Pakistan leading by a huge margin.

Mostly because Bumrah was absent. Him and Avesh were the hit the deck bowlers we had. One got injured, other regressed. They will be needed in Australia more than here.

May not be the biggest reason we lost. Misusing an already misfiring Pant and not playing Axar were bigger blunders.

I don't think anyone here is stating that blind, searing pace alone will solve India's bowling woes.  If that were the case, Umran Malik would have been a world-beater already.

Most people, if not all, are saying that:

(a) decent pace is just the starting point (baseline) for an international seam bowler.

(b) we need variety (an accurate trundling swing guy, a fast bounce guy, a yorker guy for death overs).  The problem is when everyone in the Indian team is a trundling swing or trundling non-swing guy.

Prasidh Krishna in T20s scares me.  If used correctly, he may succeed on Ozzie pitches, but I get nightmares that they're going to try to get him to bowl in the death.

He is not there for WT20.  I agree his bowling style is more suited for initial & middle overs.  Not death overs.   I would rather hv someone like Siraj in place of 40 yr old Shami chacha as standby for WT20.

Trundling culture runs through the veins of jhola expert and bcci tm. They think slow malnourished trundlers should be most fundamental requirements for fast bowler. No surprise if csk 4 footiya trundler monu singh lead the attack with trundler Raja Bhuvi in wc23 in Breborn against Shaheen, Nasim and Rauf against pak.

One of the best part about following :gt: is its pace attack - Shami, Ferguson, Joseph, SDP, & Dayal, which bowled the most 140+ balls in IPL 2022!

relentless pace attack....they also had one left arm pace bowler, kuldeep sen, shammi , hardik , ferguson....deadly attack

that is the reason why AUstralia are favourites to win the T20 world cup. we just have BOOm who can compete to their pace attack. arshdeep, bhuvi and that bowler harshal patel ( i was so surprised when i saw him playing for India in t 20) ..only hardik and Boom will compete with australian pacers. I hope arshdeep uses his slow balls as variations.

australian coaches would be running videos to study harshal, arshdeep and bhuvi and their action will be totally sorted out. i know all these 3 - bhuvi, harshal and arshdeep are CLEVER foxes .

if my memory serves me correct the tall trundler pacer that australia has who is 6 4" and comes first change gets huge bounce. i belived that prasidh could be our pick for australia and then i thought possibly avesh would do well. but avesh tried to copy the trundlers and failed big time.  Thats the worry , lots of trundlers like trundler king vinay kumar and so many came and failed for INDIA.

harshal and arshdeep will also NOT SUCEED as history repeats itself. their bowling styles will be sorted out and batsman will find ways to hit them. hardik has pace and has competitive attitude too- my prediction is that He and BOOM will prove good bowlers.

if bhuvi fails we will fail and if he succeeds then we will succeed.

for India to win- BHuvi should bowl all his 4 overs in first spell ( or at least 3)

boom should bowl 2 in first and 2 in the end.

Arshdeep should bowl 2 in middle and 2 in the end or all the 4 in the end.

Hardik should also get a Nearly New BALL.

Harshal Patel SHOULD Sit on the bench.

Yuzi CHAHAL should Succeed, if he does not get turn, he should be replaced by AXAR Immediately.

ASHWIN should be dropped and replaced by SIRAJ Or Deepak Chahar in the 15.

well we did pick a malnourished trundler brigade so..

+ 1 fast-bowling arounder who probably bowled 90% of these deliveries

We had left out 10 of the quickest pacers available in India.

So, this is expected.

Nailed it, this result was expected.

Do you honestly think the top teams will not have sorted out Bhuvaneshwar before world cup matches? These won't be meaningless bilaterals which are basically to generate the C notes for the boards.  Imagine him bowling 4 overs on the trot versus Warner or Rizwan or whoever opens for SL.... or even likes of Guptill.

Anyway it won't take long - Oct nearly here and we will know what he is capable of.
