Unbelievable Samson

Was always a couple of steps behind than he needed to be but in the end, the score and SR looks great. He struggled massively in the beginning, but I wish he had shown more urgency a couple of overs sooner than he did.

Somehow Selectors , fans , commentators all think that pant is second coming of Gilchrist so he gets chances again and again while Sanju Samson is ignored.

Oh * off, this was atrocious innings on so many levels!

Compared to other knocks bar the one whose name shall not be taken in vain and Iyer, his innings was great

He averages 16 in T20s if you remove 1 knock against Ireland. So if selectors didn't consider him to replace Rohit, Rahul or Virat they did nothing wrong.

To consider T20I averages, a player needs to be given a consistent run of 3-4 series ... then we can start removing knocks against NAM, etc. in the WC2021

Great knock. Today I will make my debut in a @zen thread criticizing the top 3 :phehe:

He came in at #6, had enough overs, took time without worrying about RRR. Pushed around to get the RRR above and beyond reasonable was 60(50) and in the penultimate over he was 67(57) and then added 20 runs off Shamsi's last over. In fact. the one crying hoarse about Tuk-Tuk, his tuk-tuk in the middle caused Iyer's wicket (which had more intent than Samson's in that phase). Iyer holed out trying to push the RR and RRR was slipping down. BTW, Iyer plays for KKR, just saying!

Yes, it was a good ODI innings, hardly anything that says he has the ability to replace top3 in T20s.

hope someone gets injured.

It is not about hoping for injury (he is not even among the reserves) but backing the talent Sanju has, which he has displayed in a variety of formats!

Pitches in Aus would suit his style too.
