Who should be the new LOI openers for Ind?

Considering the upcoming 2023 ODI WC in India, & 2024 T20 WC in USA & WI. 

 

Should there be a different set of openers per the format or 1 common opener paired with a specific opener for ODIs and T20s respectively?

T20 not sure we have to see, players like shaw, jaiswal are not being considered right now.

In T20's Shaw and one of Pant/Kishan/DDP should open, someone like Rahul Tripathi and SKY should be at 3 & 4.

Would love to see Pant/Shaw/Kishan tried with at 1,2,3.

 

If Hitman, KL and Kohli think they are so good, they should bat at 4,5,6 and bat for a few overs, lets see how many runs they can make when the roles are flipped.

Kishan is not dependable batment , neither good hitter or technicallly sound . Sanju Samson and Sarfraz are

I don't think any country has this set up of using the same openers for   T20, ODI and Tests. They forget which format they are playing lol

Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant should get 10 ODIs and 10 T20s in home conditions to see what they can do.  Lefty and Righty at the top - both with license to smack.  Role of "top order" in white ball cricket is not what it was in 2013.  Has not been that for a long time.  It calls for unselfish batsmen who can play the high risk boundary hunting game at some levels of consistency.  

 

Shubman Gill at #1 down whenever Virat is to be "rested".  Batsmen who get opportunities at #4 through #7 have to be either wicket-keepers, or bowlers.  Yes, I only kept the 'keeper option to include my boi Sanju Samson.  

 

Washington Sundar should bat at #4 or #5 for at least 5 games or more.  If there are any other spinners who can bat well, they need to be in the mix for the middle order batting slots.
