If BCCI were to send a team for the FIFA WC

What would it look like ? Here's what I can extrapolate from cricket:

Forwards: They would conserve energy and not go for goals in the first 60-70 minutes (top order batsmen). They would also look to keep the ball for long in terms of minutes rather than score goals (economy trundlers). The free kick specialists wouldn't curve the ball (spinners), just dart it outside the goal post.

Midfield: They would try and compensate for the lack of initial thrust from forwards, and suck at it due to lack of ability, other than the exception from the SKY.

Defense: Totally ignored side business like fielding.

Goalie: Washed up old man who performed once in a blue moon in the past aka our T20 WK keeper.

Flexibility: Team would be totally rigid, forwards/midfielders/defenders would stick to their areas and not venture even when required except for one midfielder (our lone all rounder)

Extras: Not worthy of XI, enough said.

Coaching: Main coach is someone with the 90s mindset and assistant coaches are just sifarishi as expected.

Selectors: Might as well have a retired golfer and a kabaddi player.

SKY along with another player or two would be playing attack, midfield, defense and goal keeping.

Rest would be running around like headless chickens.  Probably not running, mind it, just walking.

p.s. KL Rahul will hit a double hatrick against against Tahiti and Somalia though.

I doubt the KL part. I think he might do it against Vatican City if they had the Pope keeping.

if BCCI send a team to FIFA WC, likes of spain, france, maybe brazil would score 20-0 or something higher

Rohit will attempt to kick the ball hard, but end up missing and falling flat everytime.
Bhuvi will manage to deceive the defense in first 5 minutes (when the ball is new) only to miss the goal post everytime, as soon as it looses its shine he will be sent on the bench.
Arshdeep will be forced to be on the ground for entire duration without a breather.
KL will keep on missing the ball against stronger opponents, but against lower rank teams he will turn into HULK...aka Smash.
Virat Kohli will stand on one place during the first half and let others do all the running, in second half he will do the running for everyone.

You mean they will need a cricket scoreboard on a soccer ground?

But seriously we need to start with a prototype player and build team in that image - for me not Pele or Maradona or Zidane.... I prefer this guy as the prototype. Get 10 players like him and a goalkeeper just as mean. That would be the starting point for the team. Screw the skill. Start with intimidation.  Who can BCCI draft like the guy below?

Marco Materazzi
