Hardik Pandya in IPL 2023

The problem with Pandya is he acts as if he is some great player. Dhoni was ATG in odis and he was very good in test cricket at home along with being a decent keeper in all formats.

Pandya on other hand gets publicity as if he is  world best allrounder. On the field he never was great at any point in his career.

He was at best average in whiteball cricket. And some morons (including some idiotic selectors) want him to be whiteball captain.

He should not consider himself genuine AR as he has clearly regressed with the bat

I think he isn't aware of his stronger suite,he sees himself more as a batting AR when he's at best a bowling AR

His cameos were quite affective rather than pretending as a batsman who can bat high up the order,he doesn't have the range nor has the ability to score in early overs

In the meantime he's not paying attention to his bowling ,which too has nosedived recently

I repeat he should come at 7,8 and balst the opposition like he used to do before ,can look upto Sammy

He has caught the KL bug of 'batting with responsibility ( tuk tuk)" bul$hit and hence forfeiting whatever natural hitting ability he has.

Looks insecure at this juncture,he can be a very good AR who comes down in the order and plays valuable knocks/cameos who wins crucial matches for his side, like a Klusener(if he wants that amount of fame and stature)with impeccable bowling

Hardik showed promise of evolving into a batting allrounder whose USP is high SR batting and big hitting.

But he has evolved into a bits and pieces player.

This has happened because he has forgotten his strength .... which is high SR batting in the lower middle order. This role is as vital as top order batting.

He lacks the technique to be a consistent top order batter ... but wants to be one. And lacks the fitness to be a frontline pacer.

I hope he realizes what his strengths are and positions himself accordingly.

He needs to add new shots to his batting repertoire or else bowlers are going to take advantage of his limited range.

His fans hyped him by saying that if he can score 40 off 25 in lower order, he will score 50 ball centuries in top order.

The ship as sailed as far Pandya being a difference maker or playing a winning role in India winning any cup.

He has been around for 8 years and how much impact has he made on Indian cricket.

Look at Green and the impact he had in all formats. He will be leading cricketer in the world very soon.

Let him captain GT and leave Indian captaincy to someone who is better player. We don't need non performing captains.
