First of all glad we won . Make no mistake - bumrah - pandya - arshdeep are the real heroes with amazing hitting by axar and dube . 
 

Kohli was criminally slow from 5-50 . We came 15 runs short and it’s just cos we have once in a generation bumrah , we won wc . 
 

Having said that , I am very happy he got man of the match . His retirement from t20 means we will have a great chance again in future cups .

You can't predict these sorts of things. He could've started accelerating after 10 overs, gotten out, and triggered a collapse where they get all out for 150.

 

176 was a pretty good score which could've been defended much more easily if we had an additional pacer instead of Jadeja.

Guys if you look at 10 overs sa and India were neck to neck..that is after India lost sky and Rohit...we only had pandya and rest were iffy

He played a masterful innings given the situation.

 176 was above par score ...klassen played a rohit kind of innings..no one else played like him..our spinners had a bad bad day..we were losing not because of Kohli but because of klassen and our spinners . Also klassen knew exactly what to chase..Kohli didn't....

 

At 30 balls remaining..batting first South Africa could have scored 60 more ..not likely given their depth but that's normal  in t20..that makes their score 206...no way India was chasing 206..we had a klassen innings and off day for our spinners and that's why we were going to lose..thank God for the pacers.

He was out of sorts for a long time but scored a few big hits in the end to make up for it. We were at serious risk of an Afghan style collapse. He prevented that and took us to a competitive score. I thought he played a good innings in the context of the game and occasion. Sure, it would have been nice if he scored 10-12 more but it's okay, T20 is all about everyone doing their bit and the others stepped up to win the game for us.

What wouldn't SA give for a Brat like tuk-tuk innings when they needed 30 runs off 30 deliveries with plenty of wickets in hand.

We could have won with ease if jaiswal was opening .

We won last wc cos of once in a generation player - Yuvraj Singh , bumrah is similar .

What everybody saw is clearly a man past his prime.  Kohli struggled to get boundaries . Earlier in the tournament , he tried to hit out and kept getting out . In this match , hypothetically , if he had counterattacked Earler , may be he would have made a 30 ball 40 . Pandya was still there and it’s not a 50 over game . 
 

I reckon we would have made 190 if he had attacked a bit more or peak Kohli was there . He was struggling against spin - like we have seen in IPL . He can’t hit sixes off his pull shot against rabada .

Sharma has tried to move away from kohli brand of play . Sharma against Aussies was perhaps the most imp innings of the tournament as our only threat was Aussies.  

 

Kohli knock was decent.  Not special.  Not match winning.

Agree , he is not his prime, don’t agree with all the PR accolades he is getting and am glad he retired. . But aiming for 190-200 , we could have been below par at 150. He was not solely responsible to get to 176, but one of the most key contributors. Axar, the Batman, Dube, Pandya, we’re all responsible and get the credit. This was an amazing team effort
