Laaloo Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) What travesty has Dhawal Kulkarni done not to be picked? He has been exceptional recently. A true workhorse. Plays in the spirit of the game. Always ready to bowl and play for India. Even when he played for India, he picked up 8 wickets in 3 ODIs against a champion team like Sri Lanka. Too bad Dhonis politics ruined his career like he has ruined so many others. It's about time selectors to be held accountable. If Dhawal doesn't get selected again, we will all be wondering what could have been if not for Dhoni? What could have been if not for the shortsightedness selectors? Wake up India. Don't ruin this generational talent for a country begging for even one good fast bowler. Discuss Edited September 27, 2016 by laaloo tweaker and G_B_ 2

maniac Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 More sympathies to Shardul....now he may or may not be a mediocre trundler.....we don't know that but you get picked in the squad, then get dropped without playing a game and now when you actually require a replacement, someone else is picked? What is the logic behind this? velu, Mosher and Ankit_sharma03 3

bowl_out Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Think selectors are creating a distinction between ODI and Test bowlers and I like that... 8 fast bowlers to select from and I see it as below ODIs - Bumrah, Dhawal, Sran Tests - Ishant, Umesh, Aaron Both - Bhuvi, Shami SecondSlip, tweaker, express bowling and 1 other 4
Ankit_sharma03 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Travesty- the guy is not cut for Int cricket. What would he have done on these spinner freindly wkts, come and bowl at 130k by releasing the bowl in air. These pitches require bowler who can bowl above 140k and reverse the bowl not a 130k bowler stump to stump length. Pankaj singh is leaps n bounces ahead of this Malnourished bowler.
Lannister Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 lol what? Even a team like Afghanistan would refuse to play him in their national side. SecondSlip, Ankit_sharma03 and MCcricket 3
The Realist Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Trundler Kulkarni is nothing special. No need to get hot & bothered. Ankit_sharma03 1
Mosher Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Dhawal is too far down the pecking order as far as test team is concerned but he will surely get into the ODI team if one of the frontline pacers gets injured. As already pointed out it should be Shardul who should feel hard done. He didn't even get a game in WI and got dropped. express bowling 1

What nonsense? He bowls 134-138. That's good enough. He has experience on this wickets. He's been toiling in the domestic for year. Stop being so ignorant. New guy 1
G_B_ Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 I think posters need to understand he lead Mumbai to multiple ranji titles. Deserves a shot New guy 1
express bowling Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Dhawal will get his chance in ODIs. In test matches, it should be Shardul who is tried next. Mosher and New guy 2

Also he is someone who releases the ball in air rather than hitting the deck....with flat pitches all around the world he wont be of much use. Then the lack of ability to ball reverse with old ball makes his case damn week in Indian condition. There are tons n tons of Domestic player who have toiled hard in domestic cricket. But only 11 represent the country....that 11 should be the best ones. They should have the ability to perform in every condition. Toiling in domestic doesnt make u ideal for International cricket. If possible the guy max can play in Odi's that to as a backup bowler As far as ability goes- Shardul, pankaj, aaron, Rajpoot, nathu , avesh ,Sran all are way better than him and way ahead of him. Lannister, SecondSlip, Mosher and 1 other 4

MCcricket Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Dhawal is simply not good enough, bowling at 130 K in longer format, what do you expect, he is mediocre and was selected as quota now that selectors have seen he is as bad as Unadkunt n co, he should be relegated to domestic forever
kosingh Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 He breathes with his mouth open. A mouth breather like no other Indian cricketer.
