These were the words that were spoken in media interview by Delhi Daredevils  Mentor  and chief scout - TA Sekhar - who picked David Warner , Carlos Braithwaite , Glenn Maxwell, Kedar Jadhav  and some other future stars  in IPL auction - when they were not so known . Do you agree with it ? I surely do .

This season Ranji has not been telecasted, so no one has been able to watch him bat yet.

Watched him in IPL this year for DD, infact when he was still a rookie straight out of U-19 WC without any FC games.

 

Star material right there...Dravid his coach and Zak his captain rate him very highly and that is high praise...he was given the license to go for it from his first game....He absolutely took some international bowlers to school,even likes of Mustafizur who still isn't figured out yet at the international level.

 

While it was fun to have the various puns as he was opening with dekock...pant and kock.....everyone could see there was somehting special here.

I am afraid Pant will get chance only at #5 or #6 which will turn him into another Raina i.e. cannot play more than 40 balls. Ideally, he should be on opener in shorter formats.
