Shreyas Iyer called up as cover for Kohli

Mumbai batsman Shreyas Iyer has been called up to Dharamsala as cover for Virat Kohli, who still hasn't completely recovered from his shoulder injury. Iyer is expected to join the team on Friday, the eve of the match when greater clarity on Kohli's fitness is expected.

Anyone but Rahane mate. Its not like drs is the only thing captain does. Almost everyone from close-in fielders to keeper and bowlers have been terrible in drs calls.

Even if Kohli is fit, I would like Shreyas Iyer to play in place of Karun Nair if we are playing 6 batsmen. The guy scored a big century in the practise game against Aussies so should be ready.

Double century!  He's been mediocre in the couple of domestic games he has played since that 202* against Australia. But I am excited to see what he has to offer.

Whoever made Rahane vice captain and backed him up in shorter formats needs to be fired right away. The guy is not captain material and I would prefer Murali Vijay or Ashwin to be the captain.

Knowing the kohli, tiger he is, he will play even if he is 60% but if not then please no rahane he is completely opposite to kohli very passive and defensive

If Kohli isn't fit he should rest. It is clear that he was playing with tremendous pain last match. Iyer is exciting, he can rattle the Aussies big time. Ashwin should be captain in case Kohli is not fit. Rahane looked confused and short of confidence when he was captain.

Really hope Iyer fulfils his potential. Never been this excited about a batsman since young Kohli.

Don't worry... Kohli will not pull a Ganguly. He will opt out only if he's seriously injured.
