TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Seemed completely ineffective against Sri Lankan batsmen. They seem to be under no trouble at all. 2 out of 3 wickets have been from runouts. Cricketics and Tendu_10 2
Forever Indian Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 When there is no help from wicket, our bowling is toothless.
Ultimate_Game Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 TBH captaincy needs to be blamed as well. The whole middle overs were bowled by Jaddu, Pandya, Kohli and Jadhav whereas Umesh was "saved" for the death. Umesh should've bowled in the middle overs to try and get wkts. sandeep, chewy, AK007 and 2 others 5
Asim Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 who rated them in first place? couple of SL batsmen on single leg chased down 300+ with ease...

maniac Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 (edited) No all 4 are good....even Starc,Rabada and English and Nzl bowlers gets smacked around some times on flat pitches...Hazelwood seems to be the only guy who seems to get it right. our top 4 pace bowlers are very good...Pandya is a little raw and our 2 spinners well their ranking speaks for themselves Edited June 8, 2017 by maniac express bowling, Tendu_10, CG and 1 other 4
asterix Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 You guys are being unnecessarily harsh on the bowlers... It was a very good toss to win and the wicket eased up later on... Just one of those Indian pitches where you win the toss and win the match.., mishra, Tendu_10, Vk1 and 1 other 4
Pollack Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Firmly believe batsmen lost us the match. Bowlers are good. The only bowler who bowled genuinely bad today was Jadeja.
chewy Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 it's a good bowling attack never seen so many edges in opening 15 overs there was an element of fluke in SL batting today. express bowling 1
Gollum Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Yes they are over rated. Only Shami, Ash and BK are somewhat good. Bumrah is still untested, Jaddu is a one trick pony and Pandya is torture. Umesh better stick to red ball cricket. Ultimate_Game and Tendu_10 2

Pak_cric Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 To be honest, I don't know who rated them as world class except ganguly. They are average. Pakistan match should not be a measure of how good the Indian bowling attack is lol.
Ankit_sharma03 Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Nope we are good Game n pitches have gone to much in favour of batsman. Most bowling line ups have been taken for cleaners so one bad game doesnt make us bad and these scores will soon become normal in cricket 6 hours ago, Asim said: who rated them in first place? couple of SL batsmen on single leg chased down 300+ with ease... U wnt understand as pak still plays cricket in 90s so they still think 300 is winning total which it isnt anymore express bowling 1
Gambit Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 But but but I thought the experts here rated our bowling attack to be the best in the tournament and perfect for English conditions. Reminds me of how people thought the same about our attack going in for the 1999 world cup - Srinath, Prasad, Agarkar, Mohanty and Robin Singh

Just one of those Indian pitches where you win the toss and win the match.., Completely agree. It was as docile as it can get. During chase, they rated the track 1-10 whit 1 being easiest and 10 being difficult. the rating was between 2-3. When we started batting, wicket was fresh with moisture more than expected and too much wind. All commies agreed that only ball to bowl in second inning will be cross seam and hope that some skid or bounce. asterix 1

That's where Indian bowlers made mistake... not much variations in speed and also didn't bowled cross seam (As highlighted by Manjrekar). Indian bowlers need to use cross Seam here. I remember aa England bowlers used this to get vital wickets against NZ in the last match... Who is the bowling coach of Indian team?

Pollack said it in morning just after toss. However, Not allways visible, I am sure Indian bowlers must have tried a few and may have been tonked over fence. As pressure was on they may have given up on the cross seam

Umesh does bowl the Cross seam delivery, he did in the Ind-Eng home ODI series. Bhuvi has also mixed his knuckle balls in between in this match. One knuckle ball fetched the only non-runout wicket for us. I suppose the bowlers have tried the variations.
