Ankit_sharma03 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Also why have they only selected 3 fast bowlers
Ankit_sharma03 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I do expect a few last minute fake injuries, player sighting those reason to get away from the tour.....which will be for good only sscomp32 1

To be fair if we listened to ICF keyboard warriors and kicked out these 'useless' selectors earlier, Dhawan and Rohit would be at home watching the CT while India would have had their asses handed to them fielding rookie openers...:P Unstable Joe, sscomp32, New guy and 1 other 3 1
Pollack Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Lmao. TrashSelections .No bold selections for a pointless series. This is how it will start: Ajinkya and Shikhar opening and Pant out. Middle order safe for two oldies. Kuldeep may or may not get into playing eleven with R Jadeja and R Ashwin starting. Ankit_sharma03, Unstable Joe and New guy 3
rkt.india Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Should have picked one new young fast bowler. Nathu should have been picked. Mosher, Pollack, New guy and 2 others 5

Look at rookie openers like fakhar being extremely successful each match he played. Mosher 1

No news after and even during IPL. He is a topmost bowler among the upcoming. Almost 100% sure he would succeed at international level.
Vk1 Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 I guess we are not understanding . Selectors already have a core group of players in mind for 2019. And that reflects in this CT squad. Perhaps, only place up for grabs is backup opener and a single slot between 6 and 7. Rest of the squad will remain same. Unless yuvi or dhoni loose form totally, their berths are confirmed for 2019.

Is batting something special that only Rohit and dhawan can do? Replacements would have played marbles in England? Edited June 16, 2017 by Pollack

Vk1 Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 To be fair to selectors and team management we should also be aware of Cardiff like used pitches in 2019 which may not permit smashing from good length to midwicket region like pant does. Those pitches require a dhoni who can play till the end. But we would mostly get flat pitches and we may struggle with yuvi dhoni kedar kind with 310, 320 kind of scores which frankly Ireland too can chase on their days.
Temujin Khaghan Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 West Indies will jump in joy knowing that their tormentor Rohit Sharma is not coming...

Ashwin and Jadeja are not that good in ODIs these days. Someone like a Vijay Shankar needed to be picked too. Big opportunity missed by the selectors. Krunal Pandya is direct competition to Jadeja
Temujin Khaghan Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 (edited) these players need to get a lot of games before next wc Rishabh pant bumrah krunal hardik kuldeep shami Edited June 16, 2017 by Temujin Khaghan Yoda-esque 1
chewy Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Squad doesn't make sense. Previous tours to WI in recent years, India effectively sent 50% A teams after all the sh!t WI did in India, BCCI send near full strength squad. Lord 1
