sensible-indian Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 (edited) But but but Rahane is out of form and Rohit has scored 100s against SL. Edited January 26, 2018 by sensible-indian Mosher, Gollum, Sidhoni and 2 others 1 3 1
puneet28 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 At the end of their careers Rahane will be so under rated in general public same as Dravid or Laxman are and Kohli will be rated very high same as Sachin. Dropping Rahane in first two matches is the biggest mistake Kohli/team management have committed recently. However what is more baffling that Kohli said that no one considered Rahane to be selected in team whereas everyone thought of him in playing XI. Don’t know who are those people!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
King Tendulkar Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Magnificent overseas always plays . At home struggles at times but who cares this is truly world class knock and amazing skill and courage . Took blows but blocked them out I am man enough to say sorry rahane . I shoudl never have contemplated dropping him . And skipper won’t make mistake again hail rahane . Worthy vice The Dark Horse, Pollack, sensible-indian and 2 others 1 1 2 1
vvvslaxman Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 We have so many HTBs to cover for Rahane's inadequacies at home. Kohli has to make a judgemental call. Bhuvi, Ashwin, Rahane are overseas specialist bats he can't drop. M Vijay too. vas2all and Vilander 2

We have enough batsman in top order and lower order to be worried about. On difficult pitches he scored twin centuries against saffers in 2015 and scored more than Kohli against Aus last year. If he doesn't score on pattas at home, we have got that covered imo. We need batsmen for overseas and turners at home. He is doing fine in those. King Tendulkar and vas2all 2

Mosher Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Gutsy innings from Rahane. Showed lot of INTENT. speedheat 1
Cricketics Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Best and better player at times than Kohli overseas. If there was no Pujara ever, I would have played him at 3 with the shot selection he has. Big series now coming up in England and we will win that.

Sachinism Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Dropping Rahane and playing Rahane can both be fairly justified. People on this form are so tribalistic.

Cricketics Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Good knock. This knock is still more vital than any of the knocks of Rohit or Dhawan or Vijay or Rahul's knock from this tour, but I think he missed out on a big one here as he looked all set but the tea break broke his innings and cut short to 40 run knock. It surely was very important in the context of the game. Rahane, from him I expect to do this on regular basis. He is in his own league when playing overseas. Its sad that he failed a bit at home, but he scores in more important places and that is what matters.
