Adelaide wasn't much different.

We should have won this match.  India better come back strong in the rest of the series, especially with the bat.  Its not good enough anymore just to "be competitive" overseas.

So much more, of a heartbreak. I believe we lost 5 wickets inside 20 (10?) runs.

India is back to the 90s, although our bowling is a lot more stronger than the 90s lineup, Kohli is really into sachin's shoes now

SRT played with a bad back against a much superior bowling attack on a deteriorating Chepauk track. Kohli on a much kinder track threw it away needlessly with Pandya playing well in the other end, no comparison between the 2 knocks. Kohli scored a great 1st innings 100 but choked pretty badly here after getting things under control.

Kohli didn't throw it away, were you even watching the match? Kohli was countering the swing of broad and anderson by coming on the front foot, the problem is stokes bowls into the body,  so the same technique which made him successful against broad and anderson lead to his dismissal against stokes. Credit should go to stokes for trapping kohli because kohli is very good off his pads and rarely misses a ball on his pads

Kohli has a much better bowling unit while Sachin had quickly developing youngsters like VVS, Dravid, Dada coming on their own by the end of the 90s. Kohli will continue to have solid support from bowlers but he may have to put up with these donkeys masquerading as batsmen for some more time. Expect more of these Adelaide, Centurion, Edgbaston type situations in the future....1 man can't win such matches unless the name is Lara. Kohli couldn't match Lara today but he played a great hand nonetheless....I am out of words to express the disgust I have for Vijay, Dhawan, Rahul, Rahane and Karthik....bloody freeloaders.

17 runs to win. 4 wickets in hand. Tendy gets out. Last 3 wickets put on 4 runs to lose by 12 runs.

The first one to go, after SRT, was that fixer Mongia IIRC.

how many tests has lara won like this? Even the one where he did win it against australia in barbados included a very easy dropped catch
