I dont even get the logic of playing rayudu at 3. Kohli bats at 3 we need a 4. If they wanted to play him bat him at 4.

Rayudu is a poor selection for ODIs. I don't know what the selectors were smoking when they chose him.

So why not Iyer and Pant  ?

 

Iyer has done well in ODIs, definitely much better than either Karthick or Rayudu  ...  Pant has done better than Rayudu in IPL 2018 (  on the basis of which Rayudu is supposedly selected  )

 

P.s -   Personally, I feel that Rahul is still the best choice for No.4 if he is allowed to play 10 games on the trot at No.4. and settle down.

If we can play Sehawag,Sachin,Gambhir & Sehwag,Sachin,Ganguly at top 3,I don't see the logic of not trying Rohit,Dhawan,Rahul on a consistent basis.

Wasnt Raydu part of ICL? Didnt BCCI ban all those who participated in ICL from first class cricket? This guy didnt come back to play only IPL but He is being picked on and off for National team.The selection of him just spoils the chance of someone inexperienced getting picked. Zimbawe tours or Kohli/Dhoni rested,He is always the first pick. And it looks as of now that He can be in the scheme of things for WC's playing XI. Not to mention his eyesore batting,although that should not be the criteria to drop or not pick someone but his batting can give you headache.
