vvvslaxman Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I have had doubts about Shami's fitness. I never question his wicket taking ability. They both toiled manfully in crucial phases of the game. When all the options were exhausted Kohli kept turning to them. They kept justifying the faith. Accurate, penetrative bowling. Gilly handsomely paid complements to our attack. "This is a world class pace bowling attack". IT certainly was today and yesterday. These two were primarily responsible. Bending their back and extracting something out of the pitch. Pace + Accuracy you cannot beat this combination. Salute Gentlemen. Tendulkar1996, Adi BB, flamy and 5 others 2 6
Nikola Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 We need one leg spinner to make our attack worldclass. Ashwin is useless. Lucky today he had poor aussie batsman no smith and warner. sandeep 1
rkt.india Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Shami needs to get this consistency he showed in second innings going.

SK_IH Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 that was world class bowling from the duo. hopefully the leader can chip in with more wickets so that captain doesnt have to go back to Bumrah time and again
Pandya_Power Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Ishant was great too! Needs to pitch it up a bit more often though.
Cricketics Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I needed this four day break before the start of 2nd test more than Indian bowlers. Ishant Sharma still gives heart attack with his no balls. Adi BB, Vilander, philcric and 6 others 9
bhakum20 Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Shout out to Unlucky Sharma as well. The wicket he got and the manner in which he got it was the wicket of the match for me Stan AF and Rightarmfast 2
putrevus Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 (edited) All three did well but they are not your typical bowlers who can run thru any side , they will have hiccups, Ashwin had to help them out here but he did not do good enough job. Edited December 10, 2018 by putrevus Rightarmfast 1
express bowling Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 (edited) Commendable performance by our 3 fast bowlers, led by Bumrah ... on a pitch that did not provide extra pace, bounce and seam movement and the conditions and ball did not aid swing much. They bowled in good areas consistently ... were quick in the air ... hit the deck hard ... bowled surprise bouncers ... everything needed on a flat track. So good to see. Number Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Shami is proper example of a rhythm bowler. Gets better as he bowls more and is usually handy in second innings. Bumrah should enjoy Perth track more. express bowling 1

Straight Drive Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Bowling has been good in SA and England too. Nice to see that trend continues in this test series as well Bumrah has been the most impressive and Shami have bowled incredible spells even though he isn't fully fit and bowling at his regular pace & rhythm.
Mosher Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Bowled really well as a team. Ishant did a decent job but needs to do more and take care of those no balls. That ball to Head though was a ripper. express bowling and Rightarmfast 2
CoverDrive Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Shami, Ishant and Bumrah should just do batting practise for next 4 days. Give shoulders a rest. What was great was general discipline shown by the fast bowlers and executing plans. Except for Shami in First innings bowlers were at the batsmen all the time. Rightarmfast 1

Even Starc, hazlewod and Cummins could not run through our batting line. and likes of Bumrah and Shami on their day can ran through any team if they get the right conditions. All bowlers requires conditions to run through a team. The most important thing that happened in this test was these bowlers did not concede too many freebies like we used to do before. There was not many half volleys, hardly any short and wide or on the pad stuff. LIke Ishant his ER was around 2. this is like a wicket in itself because opposition is not running away. Exam Aus first innings they were 57/2 at lunch time RR around 2. Imagine if Aussie RR was around 3 or 3.5, the same score could have been 90-100/2. This should be the mantra, dont give easy runs even if you are not taking wickets, don't try too much and become wayward. in Australia, they just need to hit the right areas consistently. Vk1 1
Adi BB Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 And we were berating our Pacers after the practice game when they weren't provably even putting 50 percent of the effort. Great effort this by our bowlers I am tempted to play umesh at Perth Mosher, Tridibans_16, express bowling and 3 others 1 5

Shows wicket taking ability. Bumrah is still learning, yesterday he was rattled too. He has played on very helpful pitches and still tail has wagged even with him.Hopefully he becomes that bowler who can cleanup tail as fast as they come, right now I cannot say he has that ability.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk SrinjayDutta 1
