I dnt see that happening easily

Shaw , mayank are already there and rahul will comeback ( i dnt knw why ppl are counting him out as if they havent seen cricket before coz thats a phase everyone goes through and a players comes out as a better batsman)

Also he was made to bat in middle in A -game so may be they are also considering him for middle, i think can bat in middle to .

Opening as of now is Rahul, Shaw, Mayank

If you can't play the short ball, you will be worked out in international cricket pretty quick. Doesn't matter if you batting at 1 or 6.

Everyone has a weekness.....Soon teams will figure out shaw n mayank weekness as well

With new players u have to allow them to fail n work on their game . The captain job is to back them and give them a comfort zone. When he comes at 6 and open ....most day it wud the old ball he ll face of which the bounce is less as compare to new and even if its 2nd new ball the moisture in pitch wnt be same.

When it comes to making a player kohli is the worst

Vihari scored a 50 and then got dropped, which basically tells a player ...not matter how u do ull be replaced by a failure...

Is that what a captain shud tell a player???

Then u make him open which is not his slot to adjust that failure.

What security n comfort is captain giving him ??? Worst of all the message being send out is Bizzare

Captains like dhoni , ganguly told sehwag , rohit if u fail at open ull get a fair chance in middle to . Here vihari knws even if he performs he ll be dropped now he has the fear of failure, fear of loosing his position

Gill should be given a run .... as for rahul, will think about him once he shows improvement. we have players such as Agarwal, Shaw and Gill, who appear to be as good (if not better) and hungry enough to make it count!

yes mayank will get his chances but IMO he ll be found out soon , thats all the time rahul needs

Rahul is a far more evolved player then 3 , currently the problem he is facing those 3 will face in future  to

Get me a box of tissues for project Vihari on ICF

2 choices

a.  Worry about Vihari career

b.  Focus on winning the test and match for India

For me b. all day.  Rohit fired at 6 so call fully justified.  Vihari to certain extent blunted ball in 1st innings so the call worked and help set up match winning total

ps Vihari massive queation marks now for gis suitabilty for international cricket.  Cant play short ball then in serious trouble.  No matter were he bats now will get bombed, cane he cope?

I completely feel for Vihari simply because it was done to benefit the hack Rohit sharma. Having said that you cannot hide this issue by simply attributing to his batting position. They can still bowl a bouncer to a no.6 batsman. If this is going to be a pattern at the sydney as well then India has to keep searching. NOt like we don't have options.

Even virat had problems with the short ball in his debut series vs the all mighty west indies team. He worked on it and look at him now one of the best player of pull shot around the world and by no means this is west indies class bowlers and this pitch is playing all kinds of tricks now so its not easy...give respect where its due he is batting in Australia at not his usual position and dont talk about that hack sharma. Doesnt looks like handling even the straighter ball forget about bounce absolute useless of a block .

Not writing vihari off at all.  Even waugh had problems v short ball then over come them.  Many players debut in international cricket, get exposed on certain weaknesses then come back rectify and success.

He may over come that.  But people on FC circuit now he dont like chin music, needs to work on it
