Whoever thought it was a good idea to appoint a woman to oversee men's team. Edulji has lost her credibility, after the way she handled sexual harassment case against BCCI CEO. She was not even ready to have the procedures in place, to give him a chance to prove that he was not guilty. This narrow minded person will drag down BCCI with her.  BCCI office bearers are using her to wage war against Vinod Rai, and this is not going to end well for Indian Cricket team.

ha ha ha ... hearing it for the first time .... is that BCCI CEO a male pig???

When will Sachin do something useful instead of random congratulatory tweets

When has Sachin done something useful. He batted behind RD and Sehwag in tests and opened during powerplay overs in ODIs (without taking strike first ball when there is any hint of movement). Que the usual suspects :phehe:

No...if they talk about a group of people in a degrading manner( in this case women being talked about as sexual objects) ,it is the bcci 's problem because they are employed by the bcci.

It is similar to ,if they had talked in a degrading manner about a race ,or a linguistic group.

If he talked about his affairs and also showed the girls to his parents and talked about it in a show. How it becomes degrading women? Talking about he had sex with women is degrading? Should he have talked about he had sex with goat then?

would you have the same view if Smriti Mandhana said the same stuff on a TV show about her sexual promiscuity for example?

I will repeat for the nth time-

No one has an issue over consensual sexual promiscuity done by either sex- but to brag about it just so to supposedly elevate your image in social media and being crass by involving ones parents. Womanising by indian cricketers have been happening for a very long time- but these kind of things were kept private. Everyone knows it but doesnt want it plastered all over the front page by the player himself just to make himself look good.

Bottom line is- Hardik and KL are the only two young cricketers who have that much social media presence and brand contracts compared to other youngsters. They have simply been distracted by the glamorous life and focusing on social media rather than improving themselves as cricketers cos lets face it, neither player has done anything worthy to pinpoint to say yes they won a match/series for us with their consistent performances. KL's career is almost finished. Hardik could have stepped up and cemented his place in our test team as the allrounder but he chose to go after girls instead.

Karma is a bitch as they say.

Recently, there was a movie called veere de wedding where 4 girls talk about sex and relationship opnely, indulge in affairs, one night stands and uses expletives and people praised the film to no end, relating to female freedom and feminism. It was a super hit. Here two guys did same in a gossip show and everyone is after them.

If smriti talks about her promiscuity, why would I or anyone should have problem? I don't get it.

We should accept what happens in movies in real life?

The more this prolongs , I feel hardik and Rahul will start getting sympathy. They made a mistake . Get them banned for few wematches and move on. If they were in red hot form like Rohit or even shikhar it would not have come to this level.

Their poor form coupled with crass comments were like fresh ammunition to their detractors to ensure they don't wear Indian blue jersey for the foreseeable future.

I just think they should hire a PR salvaging coach, make a media appearance and speak only to pre agreed upon questions for 10 minutes , Say sorry and accept the punishment gracefully . This will at least make people sober up to their mistakes and move on. Else this natak will unfortunately kill their careers and we don't want to wish that on anyone.

Move on and let live .

That isn't the issue but people praised same thing in the movie done by girls in a movie saying it was woman empowering?

Anyway, I didn't find anything in that show that people should be overreacting so much.

What mistake? Why we consider it a mistake?

Being public figures, they are considered role models, so need to watch what they speak and not let those comments misguide their younger followers. Socially responsible. If you are not a public figure you can potentially get away with it, but not for these two.

They represent the BCCI brand and any negative publicity will be unwelcome for their employers. So they are well within their rights to reprimand.

As for social media venom, I think we as a society have become so insecure personally  that we tend to pounce upon other  people's slightest mistakes and in the case of these two it's a bit more egregious. So they deserve all the flak for their stupidity. Few matches ban, why not..

Life ban.. ?? We gotta be kidding..

I saw that film- I was happy that girls also have started to open up about their lifestyle and it was well received.

BUT can you tell me any instance in the film where they discussed their lifestyle openly with their parents? Where did they talk about ONS or how many guys they have screwed with their parents or the fact the the reason one of the girls separated from her husband because she was masturbating? ( That only happened at the end when everything came out).

What I am trying to say that the situations do not correlate- one is a FILM where the actors are told to talk about a situation according to the script given to them by a director. The other is a real life scenario! The point is there is a line even in that film which shows that living any kind of lifestyle is acceptable as long as you do in privately and not involve the parents ( we are still indian after all)

Listen... i am tired of explaining this to different guys here.Wish there were other women around in the forum to explain it better why the way they talked was degrading .

If you feel how they talked was fine with you...that is fine.

good on the minister to come hard at these *ing double standard feminist pig  .Hope  our great cricketers who  did all the tough work all thru their careers follow the same route so much so that this ugly pig gets  thrown out   of the BCCI  ASAP. Enough is enough .... Fed up with these double standard  feminist hypocrite frauds. The non unity among males is their strength of activities.

This good for nothing ugly pig who  fishes in muddy water has managed to  destroy the confidence of  such a promising all rounder( who indeed has the potential of reaching that highs of a genuine great all rounder) for at least 2 years. These sort of pigs have no problem if a female pornstar acts in Indian movies, no problem with almost  nude beauty contests, no problem with partying like animals in night clubs, no problems if a nasty vulture sort of female advocate tries to suck the hard  earned money  of the  guys of the sort of my poor step brother etc etc. If a male utters some thing based on these lines , then these  type of frauds find genuine problem  of 'morality getting destroyed'.My blood boils literally on going thru all these.Hope male fraternity all across India observe  and analyse the pros and cons and react sharply and be ready to go to any extends, not alone , but in 100s & 100s of groups.Other wise the very own peaceful existance of males in India is in danger because of the double standard hypocrite mentalities of  feminist frauds. Lack of adequate unity among us males is the main problem. One vs thousands will not have any impact . It should be thousands vs thousands.
