That’s about 20 runs to make up on flat pitches , either chasing or setting targets Absolutely, look at NZ today, 60 is bare minimum for them Link to comment
Forever Indian
Dhawan has never been a good T20s player. He is a good player only in ODIS, so should be shown the boot and get Rahul or someone else to open. Link to comment
chewy
Time for oldies to move on, Rohit, Dhawan and Dhoni not good enough for T20 batting Plenty of better options Barring dropped catches and some poor fielding, these batting trio are big liability. zen 1 Link to comment
Ankit_sharma03
once KL comes back in form he is the right guy, extremely destructive Link to comment
flamy
Dhawan is officially out of form. Rohit should have stayed till end. Even if he had got 38 of 28, this match was won. Link to comment
Temujin Khaghan
Dhawan is a good opener but Rohit needs to come in at no.5 Link to comment

Agree that Rohit, Dhawan and Dhoni have to move on from this format Cricketics 1 Link to comment
Nikola
Dhawan hasn't scored century since asia cup. Rohit hasn't been same since Aus series. Even when he scored century in aus he wasn't looking that good. Both should play ODI series vs Aus can't give rest when both are out of form. In t20 worldcup next year we can try Pant & Rahul as opener. Link to comment
Cricketics
No they are overrated. Many guys can be tried in t20s. But we chose to stick with same guys. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Anybody sick of these two walking out to bat in every goddamn limited over game? Even Twenty twenty. Why can't they send Pant and some other youngster ask them to express themselves. Stradlater, GautiMaan, chewy and 3 others 6 Link to comment

What is even more sickening is there got steady approach...its the same every match, ODIs or T20s...consume all the PP overs with par 7-8 rpo than expect the others to come in to score 10-12 rpo It was cringeworthy today to see poor guy Shankar having to take risk every ball why Rohit just turned over strike Edited February 10, 2019 by chewy Clarke 1 Link to comment
chewy
One Munro needed as opener for T20s that's always been the case since start of t20s We have Rohit and Dhawan striking at 130 lol Link to comment
ShoonyaSifar
In T20s, Dhawan has no place batting ahead of Rahul and Pant. Rohit is always boom or bust but can still be there. Dhawan’s form is now getting into a concern zone. Far too inconsistent. 4 50s in 21 innings since Asia Cup. Just not good enough. Link to comment

Only the three oldies have a fixed position- Rohit-Dhawan at the top, Dhoni when he feels like batting. Absolutely sickening Link to comment
Anoop K
Rohit - Yes Dhawan - NO Rohit has won many t20s in last 6 months. Dhawan should be replaced. Link to comment
jalebi_bhai
Dhawan is dispensable. Link to comment

There is one great strength each these two possess which makes them good ODI batsmen , Dhawan is clutch and steps up in big tournaments and Rohit is the cleanest hitter around after he’s faced 100 balls . The question though , is that enough ? Overall they cost more matches than they win imo, but it’s too late to make any any changes . I will be surprised if we don’t choke in the KOs of WC Switchblade 1 Link to comment

Just waiting for this World Cup to get over so that we can finally see some fresh talent. Link to comment
