I think this duo will shine well once Kohli leaves. I feel he is the cancer of this team in terms of youth development.

 

Positions will open up dramatically once Kohli is removed from the team. It will give India a lot more choices and opportunities to the kids like Shaw and Gill.

Gill obviously has a long term future for India in Tests and ODIs, though not convinced by him in T20.. Shaw is very hit and miss. Gaikwad might be a better option at this point.
