Although a decent squad, for me the selectors have again stuck to their traditional way of playing it safe. Prasidh Krishna would have been an asset here. I have not seen much of Porel in this IPL, so no comments, But Natarajan doesnt look an international quality to me. So, we could have taken someone younger like Krishna in his place.

Two phonies i.e. Jadeja & Rahane maintain their places in LOIs & test side respectively. Just to rub it in that phoney Rahane is also the vice captain of the side.

They haven't taken any back up wk for ODI series. If Samson is backup keeper for T20s, why not ODIs.

Rohit is that unfit? He missed by out of IPL as well if his injury is that serious.

Mayank Agarwal and Chakravarty rewarded for IPL performances. Finally they break into T20i teams.

Pandey has struck decent form. Has also worked on his strike rate. It’s a good selection.  Jaddu should have been dropped. Not sure about Natarajan. I would have liked Ishan Kishan too. Overall a decent squad.
