For MI some of its own targets have been breached. 1) Winning by chasing 2) Winning on an even year 3) Winning back to back trophies. 4) Last but not the least beating the 2nd best team in the IPL (4-0). This is the 2nd time after last year. This record will stand the test of time. In general Rohit adding another match winning IPL FINAL 50 to his resume. Glad that he contributed in the game that matters the most. Trent Boult my MOTS for sure. His powerplay wickets changed the match on MI's favor more often than not. I'm Glad that Bumrah didn't win the purple cap. Purple and orange caps are cursed. Rarely teams whose players win those awards go on to win the cup. Bumrah doesn't need this recognition anyway. He's above that. SKY & ISHAN deserve India call ups like right now. Both had near 400-500 run seasons and formed the backbone of our batting. Pollard and Pandya - enforcers. Other teams envy. Our PRIDE. Jayant Yadav, what a masterstroke to bring him on an all important final and boy he delivered. Quinton just murdered any fast bowler thrown at his way. Especially his own national teammate rabada. This year's win is even more special considering that one of our all time great MVPs Lasith Malinga didn't even play a single game. Traditionally we've never won without Malinga in the playing 11. We need to find a 3rd overseas pacer who can fill his boots. Also Hardik Pandya not bowling threw a major wrench in the plans but still the team overcame it. 5 titles in the last 8 years is a serious run. Wonder how many teams can match this in the future. Didn't give many runs, piling on the pressure. Saved many runs as a fielder! And was quite the finisher while batting. Scored the tournament winning runs also. Stan AF 1
