I will tell you what Saha has done wrong

1.Averaging 30 after 40 tests

2.Failure in every overseas tour

3.Str rate of 44, not suitable for no. 7 also has no idea how to bat with the tail. 

Also Pant was second highest scorer in last series, deserves a place ahead of Saha.

Saha is 37 and not going to win you matches in Aus. He had his utility these last 5 years (should have been regular since 2012 IMO) and on Indian turners can still play an important role. Time to phase him out and bring in Pant permanently, build players for the future and clearly Pant has a very high ceiling, at least in the BMac/Kock class if not Gilly.
