Popular Post gakgupta
I mean....if you have watched today's match...he has done such a important role....he was the main pillar around which whole run-chase was done... He was switching on and off effortlessly and allowing his partner to be aggressive... He deserves lots of respect... sorak, The Dark Horse, sandeep and 8 others 1 3 7 Link to comment

ash
The Dark Knight. It is Tendulkar and Dravid all over again with Kohli and Pujara. Does the hard workz rarely gets credit but doesn't seem to bother him. True successor of Dravid, one of our ATG. Even today at the end, some people were complaining that had pujara scored faster we would have won easily..thank god these people are just keyboard warriors and nowhere near the Indian think tank. coffee_rules, nevada and sandeep 2 1 Link to comment
Serpico
I was worried that scorecard merchants will hate him in future if we end up drawing.. thankfully pant and sundar killed it Link to comment
nitinbwj
Had he gone early, we would have been all out in 2 sessions. He batted beautifully especially after lunch. Edited January 19, 2021 by nitinbwj nevada, coffee_rules and sorak 2 1 Link to comment

Even in the last game, they got scared and scarred with his audacious hitting. Lost it mentally and failed to break the Ashwin-Vihari partnership for 42 overs! Link to comment

kubrickian
He does a great job of blunting the opposition bowling attack. The more he bats, the more bowlers get tired and end up becoming less potent which other batsmen can take advantage of. He had as much of a role in today's chase as Gill and Pant; The way he kept taking blows all over his body but never gave away his wicket. Gutsy and special knock and his contribution in this whole series has been excellent even though numbers wont look as impressive as 2018 tour. velu, sorak, nevada and 1 other 4 Link to comment

The Realist
Took some serious body blows and he's important as a test specialist. But I do think he has regressed in technique as previously used to score runs as well as defend but now seems to have become more of a blocker and this can affect the other batter who is then under pressure to score some runs. nevada, Laaloo and velu 3 Link to comment
nevada
He literally put his body on the line for the team. A lesser man would have poked one outside off to get out after 2-3 blows. Pujara took like a dozen and still kept going. Today's win is a fitting tribute to his bravery. velu 1 Link to comment

No, think Aussie team have studied where he scores runs and have blocked all his scoring options. They were playing on Pujara's patience and wanted him to make a mistake but Pujara was having none of it. sorak and nevada 2 Link to comment
FischerTal
if he can help India achieve a Series victory in South Africa, all his other failures will be forgiven :( but he remains a special player for me velu 1 Link to comment
putrevus
This guy is just sheer guts.He was as important as anyone in Sydney and now this role in this win was gold.He has cemented himself in folklore of Indian cricket. Link to comment
ShoonyaSifar
The way ChePu blunted the Cummins threat in the first two sessions was a masterclass. Kept taking blow after blow, but never flinched once. Each block or leave was like a dagger into the Aussies belief. What an asset he is to us Link to comment
