When will TM realize that Rohit is not a Test player? Why are they investing in a 34 year old TTF?

Honestly both Shaw & Mayank have a 50 in NZ.  Rohit got lucky with an opportunity on flat SCG where he scored a soft 50. Failed vs Bangladesh at home as well.

Why are we giving chances to a 34 year oldie is beyond any reason?  A liability in the field as well.

It was a peach, in all fairness. But the larger point stands. Rohit cannot help himself from playing away from body. He doesn't have the mental discipline.

That said, I'd still choose Brohit over Mayank. EVERYDAY. Mayank is also a 30-31 year old domestic journeyman who barely makes it at the Ranji level. Just look at his decade long record. That's his level and it's 2 rungs below where Rohit belongs.

Mayank is 29 ffs..  Man.  Outscored Brohit at home easily.  Average of 99 at home.

Highest scorer for us in NZ.

Rohit Is a oldie ttf

Over 10 years of international cricket and this blubber still can't grasp Test.

Even after dropping a dolly and the fatso was giggling, would have been Washington's first wkt in the match.

See, unlike you, I am not going to point at a single series, or even a season for point scoring purposes. Not helpful.

Take a look at Mayank's body of work that spans well over a decade. It's average. Just like Rohit, he's not the answer.

I am going to point out Bangladesh series as well where brohit failed & mayank scored a double ton.

One more thing, this vadapav can't handle pressure. People rip Rahane for his mental weakness but Rahane always comes out with gutsy performances.

But Rohit in all formats has no backbone, is Indian cricket's most silver spoon fed cricketer, a privileged ungrateful prick.

A one show pony with no grit.

At home, he is a beast. But we need to go back to KL Rahul as our opener. He is the answer for this problem away from home. At home, Rohit will ultimately get those big hundreds in next test or somewhere in this series.

TBH he batted alright in Australia , much much better then shaw, Mayank or KL last time.

Its just one innings itna impatience kyun ?? I know he has had bad overseas past but now that we have decided to give him a chance so lets him give a fair one. Ill take him over mayank n shaw currently whose technique have developed glaring holes

what ?? he is very good in slips

He is decent.  Won't say he is good.  In Gabba test he was moving very slowly in the slips.  There was one where he responded slowly & it got over his head.

Mayank in the MCG test also took a sharp catch in the slips.

KL Rahul is also gun in the slips.
