The ideal plan would've been to play out pace & once the ball gets older score, ideal because pacers wouldn't bowl full tilt after the first session/spell & red ball would be much more manageable as it gets old. the issue was they couldn't execute this plan, not with Leach bowling so tightly & of course then Brat getting out to a nothing shot.
