An Open Letter to Virat Kohli on the WTC Final Match in England- Shape up or Ship out.

Recommended Posts

Hi (Vi)RAT,

Leading the Indian cricket team and being part of the the playing XI  - representing 1.3 billion people is an extreme privilege that needs to be earned every single time.

It is not a right or entitlement.

An extremely young and inexperienced Indian team found that your presence was not required to hammer Australia in Australia - and that too at the their cricketing fortress..

This is the extent of talent in the country - it is also a warning to you - Shape up or ship out.

You average in the 20's in the last 10 test matches. There is nothing deserving in either your captaincy nor your batting in the last 12-18 months that you can just carry on in this manner.

You have failed to win any major ICC event in all your years / matches of captaining India.

2 important ICC events for India are lined up this year - the ICC Test Championship Final in England this year  and the ICC T20 Championship at home.

There are NO excuses to come empty handed this year - your captaincy rope will end this year.

You are one more major ICC tournament loss from getting your a.$.$ fired.

RAT - I know you and your agents are reading this - be rest assured - we the fans have the collective wherewithal to apply pressure and get your a.$.$ fired.

Deliver or F off. Plain and simple.

RAT, remains only a PR clown. Having his buddy ABDV to do his bidding now. Shameless. Rishabh and Washi did not need RAT's toxic presence to do what they did in Australia.

ABDV's fanboism to Rat is quite cringy at times. ABDV was at least 10 times more talented (although an equally big choker in world tourneys) and yet he never misses an opportunity to hype up Rat. I wonder if Rat has any incriminating material on ABDV.

These type of things make me dislike AB.. Clearly bidding for his fraaand.  Somehow I never have managed to like Saffer players..  De Kock is probably only one I guess.

Is Kohli going the way of Azharuddin whose batting was average by the mid 90s?

azhar's decline was not that steep. avg close to 40 in 1996 and 1997 (a very strong era for bowling, just as now), 67 in 1998 and played 1 test in 2000 with 55 avg. only real blimp was 1999 (5 tests at 28). I think we will see a much more dramatic decline for rat; more so than dravid or ponting, both of whom averaged in the low 30s for several yrs before retirement.

AB's post is so cringe! It is so obvious it's nithing but a PR effort.

Dear Virat ,

We wont consider u a coward if u fake an injury before the game, after all its for the greater good of the team. We ll rather have you fake an injury then choke in another final.

Dont worry about the quality of the side this side already showed that they played better without you in Australia.

If we loose with them atleast we ll have an excuse that we didnt have Virat. In all Win-Win situation. Anyways with World t20 and IPL ull get enough chances to choke but dont ruin chances of Ishant, Pujara and Ashwin to lay their hands on a silverware.

How many young batsmen has Kohli really groomed? Azhar, Ganguly, Dhoni have a list of half a dozen cricketers who made huge name for themselves.

This guy has always chopped and changed and cut young batsmen at a whim. Even Gill, Pant had to force their way in the side.

He does not even let bowlers be and always steals their screen time when it is them on whom cameras should be focused. Wants all tv cameras and attention on himself. What a power hungry, jealous guy

As we saw in Australia, it would have seen definitely a much better team performance and not a meek surrender esp in last 3 tests. Kept leading us like a clown making school boyish mistakes.

No Mr. Cheerleader, most of us on ICF know that despite being at our strongest, we are unlikely to win a trophy under clown due to his poor leadership skills and terrible strategic and tactical blunders. Add to it his recent penchant for choking under pressure even as a batsman

Don't worry. India will win wtc or wt20  this year under kohli captaincy.
