Some people here are obsessed with bhuvi. 

The guy hardly plays any cricket now.

When he does...he performs more often than he fails. Some people here are so obsessed that they just wait and pray for him to fail.

Which player performs everytime?

 

He is not a regular now. That gives enough opportunities for youngsters to be tried out and take his place . Some have done well and taken his place in tests while others have been more hype than replacements. When the replacements perform , they will replace him . What is the effing obsession . He does not have clout , PR support or power behind scenes. He is in the team because the replacements have sucked!!!!!So just be grateful he is there to help out when the overhyped phaaaaast wonders are being tried out .

Who is responsible for him not being regular? not fans but he himself. He should have kept himself fit for atleast couple of important sena test tours where he can get movement. We invested in him for so long and now it looks like he won't play test match again with his fitness.

 

In t20s i agree he is decent but what about odis? he averages 40+ in india after play for almost decade now :facepalm:and we are going to play him as lead bowler along with bumrah & pandya (who averages similar to bhuvi) in next worldcup which will be held in India. He played 2019 worldcup and got no wickets in first 30/40 overs in any of the matches. Almost all were in death overs when batsman were going for quick runs.

Our bowling attack for 2023 worldcup simply can't have both pandya & bhuvi

 

Our most probable bowling attack will be: Bumrah, Bhuvi, Pandya, Chahal, Jadeja

 

Bhuvi, Pandya & Jadeja are not wicket takers or someone who can run through side. Chahal is another average spinner.

 

Now don't quote me with some of his good performance from random matches. Even part timers would have couple of good games after playing 120 matches.

Who is fighting here for him to be regular?He played when declared fit and selected. No body is lobbying for him to be selected over others. He is coming back after the replacements are not working. We had a record new caps this series. What do guys on icf want?

 

As for ODIs ...it is a B team...if you think guys like bhuvi should not be in the B team too...then you guys just live in some wonderland where we have a country full of international players just waiting for the older players to kick the bucket.

How does one stay away from injury if one is injury prone ...some people are injury prone. It is not just about fitness, it is also about one's body, about genetics, about the environment one is raised as a young child.

He was unlucky to be injured at wrong times. You think any player wants that? Dhoni ground him to dust when he was in form . There was no load management that time . Some players are injury prone and need load management like guys like Bumrah are getting now. 

 

As for  the world cup...he is on trial just like others . So many bowlers are being tried along with him. If he performs he will be selected, if not someone else will be. People talk like he has not been dropped and there is some lobby who will guarantee his selection. He is from UP with no regional quota , belongs to a weak ipl team unlike some others who have big money teams backing them. He only gets selected because the selectors think he is needed. He is also on trial along with others. So why do people get so insecure about him being around. The Sainis have been given chances and tanked. The Porels who do not inspire even ipl TM will also get their chances in due time  .Let them inspire confidence in TM and get selected, because bhuvi has no one backing him . If TM finds others better, they will play them .
