Drop Hardik pandya from T20

Recommended Posts

He needs to iron out few minor flaws ,he will still be able to score runs

Basically bowlers are bowling him MS Dhoni line, his legsidish stance blocks him to play on off

He used to play those aerial shots over cover region not long ago,was quite devastating ,wonder why did he develop this Razzaisque stance

No, not at all.

But I definitely doubt his commitment, I find his  "bowling fitness" issues quite flimsy.

It appears he just bowls when he wants to otherwise he plays as a specialist bat, I think if we want a specialist bat then why not just select someone like Sanju Samson ahead of him. He can strike as hard as Pandya and can be more consistent than Pandya atleast.

Why would you want to drop from this team of uni-dimensional players, the rare one who can bat and bowl? Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli, Rahul, Iyer, SKY, Shaw, Pandey - no one can even bowl one over.

Yes he was poor this series and especially his antics have been cringe but drop him for one series failure? In his last T20 before yesterday, he had 39*(18), and 4-0-34-1 in a high scoring match vs Eng. Why would you discard him?

No the only reason he gets a free ride is because T.I.N.A which unfortunately is a fact.

However I did see last game was probably the first time since his debut he was under pressure and looked shaken.

This may be a blessing in disguise as there are only 2 ways from here come out a much better cricketer or totally fade out.

He has to revisit his stance though.Limits his scoring areas big time

He has 2 stances

1. When he has time in hand and he can bat normally- this i think is damn good , infact his best one

2. When he goes into full hitting mode- initially it was use to counter wide yorkers but now teams have soughted this out. He needs to change this quickly

people have done their homework for him. Also he looked very rusty this series or in fact since IPL. I have no doubt he works on his fitness when it comes to outward appearance eg, biceps, 6 packs but how much conditioning is actually done from a match fitness point of view like long hours in the net batting and bowling I have my doubts.

yup he shud keep 1st one and study pollard, on current form pollard is the best hitter in world . Pollard moves around for better reach, even andre russell has had same issues that ppl worked out hsi stance started bowling at his throat.

rusty thing is going to be a problem for while with these breaks due to pandemic , KL faced it in Ind-ENG series

Teams will always comeup with counter plans, if u dnt come with a plan against them then this cud stretch ......thats international cricket
