not only that .... his country wise record especially in SENA + WI is sooo pathetic for a batsman who has played almost 90 tests.

The level of nepotism that allowed this mediocre batsman to  play such longer is unbelievable. To think that a legend in Dravid played in his position  in the just preceding decade & also that so many talented rookies have been  waiting for their chances makes this  mediocre parasite's stay in the team for such a long period   even more  questionable.

Headingley showed Cheteshwar Pujara is back to focusing on what's important

He wasn't worrying about crease occupation during his 91 in the third Test.

 

But even when Pujara didn't score big runs, he played some stellar knocks under tremendous pressure. His contributions this year in Sydney, in the second innings in Brisbane, and at Lord's are still fresh in our memories. If it wasn't for him, India wouldn't have drawn the Sydney game and might have ended losing at Lord's and in Brisbane.

 

This is how (the 91) Pujara has always played, barring the last couple of years. This innings might be the watershed event of his career in that he may no longer think only about occupying the crease but instead focus on scoring runs and letting the rest just follow. His defence and patience will still be friends but they might no longer be his BFFs.

He is being too optimistic. When a team is leading by 360 runs, they will set more attacking fields and pitch it up. Anderson bowled way too many balls on his pads early on. Next match, they will bring the ball back again and it will be same old from puji

I am not a fan but have a soft corner for him. He has been ill treated in the past, getting benched for the likes of Raina but as of now, he has no reason whatsoever to complain about not getting a regular spot. He seems way past his sell by date, just like the other two seniors in the middle order.

He cheats on Indian fans by his boring batting when the situation requires him to take the initiative and when the situation requires his boring batting, he nicks it to slip and trudges to the dressing room to find some tea and biscuits. zen will be forever looking for his return to wholesome ways but cheateshwar is just that - a cheat

Why not. 

Ardent test cricket fans from india love him as he has contributed immensely to Indias' home dominance and two away wins in aus, which is basically 90% of our test team's achievement.
