Why Rohit? It was given he would take over for the next year WC. I hope they open with Gaikwad/Ishan and rest these two shoo-ins. It is the same old template followed in the last year. Rohit/Shikar used to open, Kohli in form was #3, India needs to move away from this failed template. Identify T20 firmat players and their roles. Late order hitters need to be developed . Pandya was a failed experiement for the last 5 years.

ro is good in giving youngsters a fair shot as captain. Promoted Vijay Shankar and Pandya for Mi on many occasions. Won’t be surprised If he pushes himself to 4. He has always talked about preferring that slot in t20 despite his white ball success.
