It should be personal choice. My mother could not stand anyone eating beef. I am more tolerant. It is a personal choice but if you are an athlete the modern advise is to avoid beef. It is classified as red meat with lot of disadvantages. Stick to chicken as it is white meat.

Wrong narrative. Hindus (most) are against cow slaughter. Beef available in India is mostly from Buffalo and rarely from cows, which is illegal in many states and most hindus dont mind if other hindus eat Buffalo meat

Nope they are  not. It's been made illegal by right wing fanatics. India is a huge diverse country and hinduism itself is diverse and has many sects

 

Fundamentslists are trying to hijack it and make it a copy of other fundamentalist religions in the world just to retain political power. So far they have been succeeding
