It was a natural progression isn't it?

There cannot be 2 captains in Limited Overs format, besides this will help reduce Kohlis stress and he can fully focus on Test matches

Welcome this move. Kudos to whoever the hell have done this. Took 2 Worldcups, 1 Champions trophy, and 7 years of failure as RCB captain for BCCI to realise that Kohli can never be a Leader.

Kohli should not even be in the test team let alone the captain,he has lost all his confidence and is a shell of his former self.

captaincy is the only thing that will help him stay in the team.

Rohit's a fantastic choice as captain. After all he has all the attributes of a great leader and inspiration:

i) Very hard working and takes fitness seriously

ii) Made the most of all his talent and cricketing ability

iii) Never puts personal score above team needs

iv) Very young and can build a legacy for years to come

v) Exceeds in tough conditions i.e. sharp turn and quick bowling

Good to see BCCI bhabhus are really measured in their selections.

I see the sarcasm there… but what many of you are asking would’ve been a drastic change and both Kohli and Rohit would’ve screwed the new “young” Captain.

BCCI just used one powerful but less controversial player to remove another powerful and highly egoistic player.
