T20 format is a joke format. Ranking is even a worse joke. This belongs to leagues. Not internationals.  On a given day anyone can win.  Australia was an average T20 side. They had guys like Steve smith in the side who finished with a strike rate under 100 in the world T20. Couple of knocks from Marsh  boom they won the cup.

west indies just won over England 3-2 right before they flew to India.

India wins a lot of T20 bilaterals..  The other day they became fastest side to 100 T20 wins breaking Pakistan's record.  

Australia lost like 4 series b2b but peaked at right time to win the World Cup.

Don't get fooled by these rankings, India is a highly mediocre T20 side.

They got walloped  in BD 1-4. They got bowled out for 62 or something. One of the reason is they never play full strength side in bilateral T20s. Infact not even half strength. At best quarter strength team. Generally they send a bunch of noobs. Only team that took bi laterals way too seriously was Pakistan. India quiet often rested Bumrah and Kohli. But we still had guys like Rohit.

India for that matter hasnt lost a full fledged t20 series in aus,eng and South Africa. They have lost one off t20 but never a series. Its also net positive against all teams in terms of head to head. Its remarkable actually just by stats

6 against minnows and dont forget we played NZ who were basically jaded from having played a WC Final just a few days earlier.

 

We are clearly over ranked. Its a manipulated ranking.

 

I would not even have India in the Top 4, let alone Ranked 1.

As I said above, WI is not minnows having beat England just before. And NZ may be tired but still a good team who reached to semis.

India are rightly called bilateral kings.. and so far that's they are (until they win a damn ICC cup).

No we are not. We are an overrated odi side but that's shaping up well now. 

In t20 we always do well in bikaterals. Due to some *tard selections we always mess up in the WC stage.

that was not a full-strength Eng team across all departments. WI are minnows, especially in Asian conditions, and their "true" ability was reflected in the T20 WC as well as 0-3 in Pak.

No India play ordinary brand of T20 cricket with too many anchors. Onus is on Rohit to change the modus operandi, otherwise results will be no different in Aus
