Popular Post SecondSlip Posted October 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 5, 2022 (edited) Why is Rohit Sharma escaping all the blame and criticism for the lack of genuine pacers getting chances? In fact, he’s the biggest villain in this story! Just look at the way he constructs the MI squad every IPL. The only Indian pace bowler he supports is Jasprit Bumrah. He always picks 2 foreign seamers in his XI rather than give the Indian boys a proper chance. This is also evident when you see that he picks the likes of Kulkarni and Unadkat in his MI squad rather than scout and buy proper Indian pacers! This is the same guy that wasted 4 years of Mohsin Khan on the bench when he was part of MI. I know people like @maniac will never say anything because of Telugu bias but the rest of us should know now that this vada pav loser is the biggest obstacle in team india having a proper fast bowling attack. If this guy can’t even pick genuine Indian pace bowlers for his franchise team, then he sure as hell won’t for the national team! vvvslaxman Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 One of the biggest issue before Rohit was our top heavy batting line up. Kohli's way of constructing his RCB side. Top heavy side. That was the only pressing issue we were discussing about. Now that our batting has shied away from the traditional tuk tuk we don't worry about that anymore. Atleast not to the same extent. This bowling issue is not new. We always had this. But that was a bigger issue. Just that Bumrah played a bit more for Kohli. Rohit has too much experimentation in recent times. We have to call out if Rohit is willingly ignore genuine quicks even though selectors push. Chetan sharma has not be transparent about why he is picking certain players. Avesh Khan is one. Looking at the way they rush genuine quicks i believe there will be some players getting niggled out. Rohit may be many things. But don't think he is stubborn like Dhoni. I hope he realizes it soon. sandeep and raki05 1 1

vvvslaxman Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 One thing that got worse was fielding. He has to set the fielding standard. But he was one the main culprit when it comes to fielding. He missed several stops. cricspirit and raki05 1 1
Number Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 He is close to 36 and his days in international cricket are numbered. He was never in any way going to be a long term option. Now if he screws up at WT20 (exit before final) then I think he and his groupies like Dhawan, Chahal, Iyer and Ashwin will be asked to pack bags from white ball teams including ODIs also and we may see someone else captaining India in world cup next year. KL or Pandya will be contenders for it.
Frustrated Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 Vada Pav Sharma had delivered a special message to the fans just b4 the Asia Cup. And it reflected in the team' performance. https://youtu.be/1xv11wUmsJw. Can't wait to see what his message would be this time.

Can we not do a Greame Smith and make someone young a captain ? or atleast go with split captaincy like England and Australia go. Pandya for T20's, KL for ODI's and Pant in Tests. raki05 1
Lord Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 Also bowled Bumrah to dust by bowling him even in IPL dead rubbers (with MI knocked out) Now saying he'll pick someone who has experience in Australia. Then why was Avesh given so many chances anish2tweet, cricspirit, express bowling and 3 others 6

Never did anything about it.

Then why was Avesh given so many chances How can Bumrah be bowled to dust by bowling 56 overs spread over 50 days? You can't keep him cotton wrapped. A fast bowler has to play to be match fit and in rhythm. If he got injured that's bad luck. Injuries are part of the game. Can't blame it on Rohit like somehow made him bowled 25 overs a day. Prasidh, kuldeep , bumrah , siraj , mohsin Prasidh- failed at same job in middle overs in ODI and IPL both and now injured . Kuldeep- has done nothing to warrant a selection , its a pure gamble pick Bumrah- got injured Siraj- his own poor ipl got him out of contention Mohsin - injured Avesh - he performed in IPL for 3 seasons Cant blame that they gave full chance to avesh, we use to criticise kohli for not backing player now we are criticising rohit for backing a player. International quality and back them even if they struggle early on. Likes Harshal aren't international class. They are anyway not going to win you anything. A guy like Kuldeep has all the ingredients and at the right age. He is quick, has good Yorker, good bouncer and can move the ball both ways. express bowling 1

Umran and kuldeep despite nothing of domestic record is being drafted into A sides Umran has played 6 Fc games out of which 3 are for India A and played 1 list before NZ-A series, also he was selected into indian side Kuldeep sen numbers at any level were nothing to merit a selection yet selectors selected him for India-A . U have a problem with harshal going at 11 in death but kuldeep on other hand was leaking at 13.62 at death in IPL due to which his own IPL side dropped him for mccoy. RR wanted to back him and so does Indian selectors but their comes a time when it comes to choosing what better for a team and RR also had to drop him Indian selectors are addressing the need for pace and hit the deck fast bowler which is these 2 are getting ample opp for India A and being kept with team. I love Umran and kuldeep , reality is they arent ready and to select them is a massive massive gamble. Harshal hasnt done well at international but still he is ur best choice coz others didnt even show what he did to warrant a place . Harshal didnt make siraj leak runs at 14 eco or 13.62 to kuldeep at death in IPL ................at the end everyone makes their own chance . The easiest thing in this world is comment in hindsight but how many here were ready to back umran after his few bad international games ?? Same will happen if kuldeep has few bad ones Kuldeep selection is a gamble - take his name if you are ready to back him even after few bad games .
