KL Rahul return surprised me

I was surprised to see KL against Pak. I thought it was a bad decision and wanted to see sky shead of him. 

 

He then got runs , kept through inning and looks fit. I was expecting him to break down by now, I didn't even want him in the squad let alone playing xi but what a pleasent surprise. Great work KL now keep going.

The Koffee with Karan duo seems to have hit good form now and ensured we have a good middle order after a long time.

His MO record is decent. It is well known. It is his timid batting in clutch games is what worries everyone. So let us wait and see if it is a false dawn or not.

Yes, has a 50+ average batting at 5. But since he was returning from injury, expectations were very low.

Hoping Rahul's marriage has given him both confidence and clarity. On paper the innings against Pak looks good but the sign that he may be mentally sorted came in the SL game with the way he batted and his advice to Kuldeep which resulted in Sadeeras wicket.

Yes definitely there is improvement and more than his batting impressed with his drs suggestions , keeping and guiding bowlers. Only thing where i would like him to taje ownership in batt where he can play as per situation needs and demands. If he can sort out that it would be great benefit for the team.

Ishan kishan was about to grab his slot . Add Pants impending comeback . And Sampson is around all the time. Competition does wonders …tilak , Yash jaiswal , and incoming other talent gives each one of these players who are not yet established need to bring their a game

Nah..He was back to his tentative phattu best against Bangla. His innings (19 off 39) was responsible for India's defeat.

If his fitness can be trusted to last the entire World Cup, we are better off moving Ishan to the reserves and getting in another batter who can bowl.

 

Either that or Ishan bats right at the top whenever he plays and is charged with taking us off to a flyer every time.

Was really pissed off when he came back, believed Iyer was niggled out to include him. 

 

Pleasantly suprised to be wrong, but the jury is still out on whether he will deliver in pressure games in the WC. Time will tell.

ODI cricket & middle order position seems to be his strongest suite. No moving ball, less pressure of strike rate helping him

he will always keep doing well in bilaterals, but how he handles pressure in MO, especially in KOs, remains very doubtful
