ravishingravi
Didn't really watch the series well. Don't follow ipl or domestic cricket much. Most of hype players look ordinary. Checked out some footage from yesterday's play. Very impressed with Akash. Good old fashioned medium pacer who hits the pitch, holds the line and move the ball either way. Also looks like someone who came to international stage at the right stage. Looks matured with smart cricketing brain. Challenge will be flat tracks or players advancing to break his length. cricspirit, singhvivek141, Vk1 and 4 others 1 6 Link to comment

Challenge will be better batting sides. ravishingravi 1 Link to comment

Hasn't shown any signs on loosing intensity and bowls with the same energy over after over. He will go for runs but will keep on attacking the stumps. Not easy to do on a less helpful track. Pace wise, he is in 132-140 territory, probably understand that his role in the team is to be a workhorse and bowl as many overs and keep the batters challenged. Will bowl quicker in Australia I think on pitches which will have some life. Edited Tuesday at 06:15 AM by singhvivek141 putrevus, raki05 and ravishingravi 3 Link to comment
rkt.india
The most important thing in test cricket is tight bowling. Batting don't run away that always keeps you in the game. Current most successful test bowlers Bumrah and Cummins demonstrate this so well. Both have ERs under 3 in this modern test cricket. Anderson did the same in last 10-12 years of his cricket. Nikhil_cric
Is very accurate but is extremely skiddy . He gets less bounce than even an average fast bowler because of the lack of a strong wrist snap and back spin revs. He needs to maintain pace and accuracy. Probably bowl on the shorter side in places like Australia and look to dismiss batters with skiddy short balls and leg side traps. Round the wicket cramping him up in that leg middle stump line. His only weakness. In WC stupidity was bowling over the wicket to him at the Start. Nikhil_cric and Gollum 2 Link to comment

These official ages are all mostly fraud especially if they have not played u16, u19 age group cricket. Link to comment

Many cities these days have hard water which will have an impact on hair regeneration. Edited Tuesday at 10:12 AM by singhvivek141 Gollum, raki05 and Sgattick10 2 1 Link to comment
BacktoCricaddict
He has a rare maturity and gravitas. I've watched a couple of interviews wherein he comes across as a deep thinker - not only about his cricket but about life perspectives. Wish him a long international and IPL career! Bowled a high % of 138 k to 143 k balls in his debut test and bowled an actually fast spell. Currently he is recovering from dengue and is not back to full pace yet. singhvivek141, Suhaan, cricspirit and 4 others 7 Link to comment

Mosher
Akashdeep is his post match interview said he is comfortable with the new ball and now working to improve his old ball skills. Hope to see him bowl reverse swing which very much needed in India to pick wickets. Suhaan, MK55 and express bowling 3 Link to comment
