It's International men's day today. He is just spreading his message with an image of two sad men together, cheering us up

Why can't you let us be happy??!!

Palkein nam hona koi gunah to nahi

Ashqon ka behna koi khata to nahi

Mere seene main bhi ek dil dhadakta hai

Haan main mard hoon, koi paththar to nahi

We had such a great team man and just needed to chase 239. Then Eng was there for taking in the finals.

When that game got dragged into next day, the fact that India will not chase down 239 never came to my mind overnight and we all were planning for big final at Lords.

Then the dream came crashing down

I thought that team wasnt great(specially after loosing Dhawan),we had jadhav, dhoni,dk,even jaddu so many loopholes,

Then in bowling we had the great Boobie, with those we were always loosing

So a terrible Pak,Eng would have beaten us if not for the toss and we would have not made the SFs,you are so quick to give your  verdicts

Vs SA ,Eden was a fair venue

Even the Afg vs Aus, Afghans nearly pulled it off despite that being a dewish Wankhede

The sf vs NZ was actually a tricky decision Wankhede is a belter and in current era of power batting no score is safe there we just scored above par and that was displayed that night

7-8/10 times same Indian xi would have pipped that Aus XI

Only Jadeja and the strange SKY looked bad to me

Kela did well before the WC in the Asia Cup and just played a nice cameo in the SF

I again repeat, last year defeat to that Aus side was pure humiliation,we should have won it comfortably

I didn't say they would have beaten us. But we did get the best of the conditions in group matches which made us appear extremely dominant and then people got the idea that we were unstoppable.

If you look at both the pre match threads for India v PAK and for the final, I repeatedly posted that we should chase in Ahmedabad because the conditions change under lights.

AFG vs AUS kinds proves my point doesn't it? They dropped a catch and I think missed out on a review too if I'm not wrong.  It's definitely a better venue to bat first.  It took a freakish knock by Maxwell even after all that and a woeful bowling performance by Afghans to chase it down.

I'm not convinced we would've dominated Australia on any track. It was maybe 60:40 India.

Even in that group game in Chennai they pushed us pretty close without Travis Head.

By the time they got to the final, they had Travis Head back and their fielding and bowling was a couple of notches better than it was at the start of the tournament.

As bad as it was, most of us still recovered.

This NZ series though killed my interest in this sport. Spine breaking stuff, trauma that won't be healed if we win 10 more WCs.

Yeah dude, 3-0 is soul crushing! I don't mind a 1-2 loss in a hard fought series but surrendering 0-3 on home turf to NZ  is the pits!

Killed my interest in the sport, kinda like the 2011-12 0-8 humiliation and Dhoni/CSK shenanigans.

Got back interest from 2015 Lanka tour, but now almost a decade older, priorities change.

Losers lost that day.. 10 match winning streak and still you banked on pitch so obviously India were destined to lose the match. Pitch doctoring came back to bite in their ass (Rohit-Dravid). Australia were thoroughly deserving champions.

India put faith in pandya to last the full tournament. He didn't last. THen that backing of SKY was  dead on arrival.  But Rahul Dravid way before world cup squad selection declared there was not intention to drop SKY despite hatrick of ducks against Australia.

There was no pitch doctoring.

Pandya injury brought Shami in the XI which helped more.
