Ultimate_Game Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Very similar but not so sure about no. 4 - WTC. The way Tests series are scheduled and the final hosted only in Eng takes away from it. express bowling and Texan 2

adi B Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Tbh if You ask Me ,The WTC is the last in the Peking order . I even posted in ICF before our WTC 2021 Finals that I would take a series win (Even a draw) in England than the WTC Finals . That almost Happened lol Texan and express bowling 2
Stan AF Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 50 over world cup T20 World Cup Any test series win defying all logic/odds like the 2001 & 2020/21 Border Gavaskar Trophy. Champions trophy Test series win in SA WTC ..... ....... IPL s
Gollum Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Ind vs Aus since 2017 has been #1 vs #2 (check rankings before those series), sort of like an unofficial world title bout, 4 or 5 rounds of war. Even in future will mostly be like that, RSA/NZ can't keep up and Poms are overrated sissies. Unique charm to BGT that way, almost like a more legit WTC system. Winner being the best test team on the planet.

Texan Posted March 9, 2025 Author Posted March 9, 2025 Pretty soon, we will have to add Olympics to this list. I can imagine that being in the top 2.
Zero_Unit Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 There is no way a bilateral series win > an official ICC trophy. Bilateral is at the bottom, CT moves to number 3. In a couple more years I hope number 4 disappears from earth with it's whole format.

Tests existed 100 years before ICC trophies.

Just cause something existed X amount of years ago doesn't mean it will keep on continuing. Hard core cricket fenatic who loves test is way less than casual fans who goes to the stadium for couple of hours to enjoy a match or has only maybe that amount of time to watch on tv - you know where advertisers gives money to the TV broadcasters. Money is drying up for test anyways ... also apart from IND/AUS/ENG and NZ (and maybe SA) who really is good at test anyways? No one wants to see one team pilling up runs after runs for 2-3 days while the other team gets knocked out 2 times in about 1-2 days.
