The domestic season is 6 months but then you have a 2-2.5 month IPL after that which is ruinous. 

 

Really need to integrate IPL within the 6 month period like all other sane cricket boards do so that our cricketers have a proper off season.

They are planning to make IPL a behemoth where BCCI will have to seek for NOC from players from their respective franchise

Gurnoor Brar will replace Arshdeep as he will go for Asia Cup.

 

Only poor selection is Kamboj.

Gurnoor, Harshit, Yudhvir must play as lead pacers. But I am sure Kamboj will get preference over Gurnoor. Yudhvir may pip Nabi.

Nishant Sindhu as spinner should play above Dagar. You need a potential replacement for Jadeja and young Nishant is closest in terms of the skillset.

Also the captain if the Ranji champions, Wadkar, doesn't make the team 

 

I definitely don't get how Wadkar is consistently ignored for all representative squads. On the face of it , the best domestic WK batsman

Wanna see Washi play more FC, get 1000s of overs under his belt, maybe even given leadership role. Definitely must bat at 3 or 4. 

 

ODIs, T20Is not for him. But in tests, he is an ATG prospect, as an overall cricketer, higher ceiling than Ashwin/Jadeja. 

 

Anyway don't understand most of the squad selections for Duleep Trophy. Happy to see Gill, Jaiswal in the squads.

Kanrataka is going through a terrible phase,only one good prospect in Smaran and the bowlers are toothless to say the least.

Why can't these two bozos Kohli and Rohit play Ranji trophy. They still want to play odis but with so few odis being played, why not play Ranji trophy to get match practice and also help youngsters.

 

Kohli reluctance to play FC to improve his technque was one of the main reasons for his downfall in test cricket.

 

If they think it is beneath them to play FC and local tournaments then they might as well retire from odis.
