There was a lot more fist bumping and hugging when they were in the middle. I have noticed that they congratulate each other as well when one of them does well in the field. Never saw that chemistry with Rohit from either of them (despite rahane and rohit playing together at Mumbai). Problem with rohit is being indecisive.

You get a feeling Rohit does not mingle well. Maybe Dhawan feels Rohit is a bit selfish? I am not saying they don't get along its just that they appear to be ok with each other.

He is like a stock of a company which has to spend long time in RnD before it pays good returns.

Luck and opportunity have not always favored Rahane. The guy is a quality bat, even though he looks like a kid with an oversized helmet and has an expression of a sacrificial goat about to be slaughtered. People put too much stock in 'appearances' and overlook his class.

NareshK Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 There was a doubt about his ability as an ODI batsman especially if he could accelerate if needed but he proved his critics wrong and how. I never expected Rahane to play a Raina type innings but he did just that and most of his shots were clean shots which were pleasing to the eye and some of them were also powerful shots off pacers. Great innings and gave the innings much needed momentum to cross 300. It augurs well for the future because he can buckle down and also play a cautious innings and build a partnership if a few early wickets fall because he has the technique and temperament to see off good spells and bat through tough situations.
