Can it get any worse when it comes to pitches?

Anywhere in the world would we see these kind of pitches?

350 wasn't enough couple of days back. Now 380 looked almost not enough. One high scoring match in the series is good. But every match is like that, it's no longer lookin like cricket.

All these curators should be fired

Boundaries need to be made bigger.  Bat-tampering laws need to be strengthened and enforced strictly.  This elongated T20 stuff is not going to keep fans interested in ODIs long-term.  And I think cricket needs the ODI format between the extremes of test and T20.

This is where Indian cricket gets it wrong time and time again. You have to ask yourself what part of this series will make India more ready for WC in England. You have veterans in this team banging an average attack on placid track. If we can't change the track, at least we could have tried some other youngster or Rahane or another keeper. We might have players well past it when opposing teams are having young strong teams. England team looks like a gun team to beat at home.

Me thinks slogging technique has improved vastly. Those days perecentage cricket means take it easy in the beginning and explode at the end with an intention of preserving the wicket  These days they have improved in the area where they protect and as well slog for longer periods. Game has evolved. There was not much scope for improvement of bowling. That is why we see more bigger scores. Pitches are not the only contributory reason. Not like we never had flat pitches before But we preferred tuk tukking for 40 overs.

Need to get rid of boundary ropes and make like those old 90s style Aussie boundaries where there is no rope and just the fence. The ball has to hit the fence or cross for a six.

Agree, if only one thing can be changed, it should be the boundary size. Both Cuttack and Pune had very small boundaries. When flat mis-hits go over the rope, sixes lose their charm. A six should be a special effort shot that is risky to hit.

Problem with that is fielders safety - Baseball style tall padded boundaries, with non-grass "warning tracks" could be a good idea.  I think boundary sizes really need to be increased instead of being shortened the way they are these days.  Make batsmen earn their 4s and 6s.  Short boundaries do not help the game, or increase the entertainment for cricket fans.

Those who like those cheap boundaries need to be brought along so they understand the game better - you don't sacrifice the game to the lowest common denominator.  And Cricket does not really need to do that anymore in the age of T20.  Every ball in T20 is an event, because it matters so much.
